April 11, 20232 yr Gotta nerd out for a second - and agree, this is so much fun! Now, can we get @KJPto drop a bomb on us that Bedrock will be building a 600 footer at the Nucleus site just as SW is finishing?

April 11, 20232 yr A quick peek at some of the pavilion foundation work through the fence, and also looking across toward all the garage foundation/lower level work.
April 11, 20232 yr And here are a few tower views from the Warehouse District - really starting to make an impact on the skyline!

April 12, 20232 yr Thanks again @Ethanand all you cool kids who have given us so many great views almost daily. Just thinking that this particular photo really shows how massive those floor plates are - and just imagine how high this thing would’ve gone with a smaller floor plate - probably would’ve been the 2nd tallest in the city easily. Just sayin’ Meanwhile, the view just gets better daily - and that new skyline is coming into view.
April 13, 20232 yr Oh check out this great drone footage. Is Matt Lance an UrbanOhioan? Come get your props! When is the last time I-71 turned a profit?
April 14, 20232 yr Matt is a friend of mine (on IG 😅) he has given me a lot of advice pertaining to my new drone. Love his work.

April 14, 20232 yr That opening split-second frame might be the greatest view of downtown there is. Almost hard to believe it’s Cleveland. My hovercraft is full of eels

April 17, 20232 yr I'm surprised nothing has happened with the core in a few weeks. Seems like it would have been added to since the floors have caught up to it.

April 20, 20232 yr Does anyone else love how the tower is towering over post office plaza…when driving on the highway it’s a site to see!
April 21, 20232 yr Uhh did we all miss this somehow? I scrolled through and didn't see any posts about it. Apparently there was a small fire and some minor explosions 12 days ago...

April 21, 20232 yr 12 floors of steel. The core is about to get smaller. Edited April 21, 20232 yr by Silent Matt
April 21, 20232 yr I wonder what they're doing with the core and why they're removing the formwork with 20 floors to go. Maybe it narrows on the upper floors.. (edit- tried deleting after seeing the small print on the above bic) Edited April 21, 20232 yr by frankp78 I wanted to delete comment but it won't let me

But yeah, the core has been stagnating on the 15th floor for a while now. I'm wondering if there was an issue. I'm surprised the core would narrow at only the 15th floor out of 36. After all, 1/3 of the way up would be 12 floors. Dropping one elevator out before the 15/16th floor makes plenty of sense to me. Edit: looks like four bays?
April 21, 20232 yr google bard a.i. sez: 😅 will the new sherwin williams hq start a downtown cleveland renaissance? edit View other drafts It is possible that the new Sherwin-Williams headquarters could start a downtown Cleveland renaissance. The new headquarters is a major investment in the city, and it is likely to bring new jobs and businesses to the area. It could also help to revitalize the downtown area and make it more attractive to residents and visitors. However, it is important to note that the new headquarters is just one piece of the puzzle. In order for downtown Cleveland to truly experience a renaissance, it will need to see continued investment in infrastructure, housing, and other amenities. It will also need to attract new businesses and residents. If all of these things happen, then it is possible that downtown Cleveland could experience a renaissance. The new Sherwin-Williams headquarters could be a catalyst for this change.
April 21, 20232 yr If you look closely at SW's schematic models, you can see the shape of the tapering elevator core.
April 22, 20232 yr From last night. It's not quite tall enough to get lost in Cleveland's fog, but if the crane is any indication, it's getting close.
April 22, 20232 yr So thanks to @chrino21, @Ethanand @MayDay’s posts from the last 24 hours, we’re very clear on where we’re at in SW’s ascent - now just beginning that “middle third” of the core. Already impressive but almost two thirds to go!!

April 26, 20232 yr Okay, since folks seem to think things are a little slow now, and we're all waiting for windows and panels to start appearing, I'll throw this in: For anyone wondering (like I did), I finally put them together. It's not the exact angle, but it's kinda close.
