  • Oh, here we go.  Weird...   I did a quick Photoshop from Mov2Ohio's "Top of the 9" shot.  Tough combining a drawing with a photo, but for what it's worth...

  • Not to braaaaaag but I believe I have the furthest shot Sherwin-Williams construction photo ever taken (not from a plane). This is from Point Pelee in the southernmost point in Canada in Leamington, O

I wonder if any of the exterior lighting at the top of the building is built into the structure or will be added afterwards

Theres some cladding on the crown framework on the PS side and it is very transparent in contrast to the rest of the glass. Mayday’s beautiful pics capture it. I wonder how indicative it is of the rest of the crown.

just took this in the shadow of the S&S which why it looks so gloomy

Isn't that transparent glass on the 36th floor "balcony?"  Maybe it's really a sun room.

If you zoom into @ragarcia photograph the top vertical window mullions appear to protrude further out which probably contain the LED lighting elements!

I too wondered how differentiated the crown would be. U of Akron's Polymer Building is very much so, but I think it works.

Absolutely NOTHING noteworthy about this pic, other than the fact that I ACTUALLY TOOK IT!  WOO HOO!!  Finally, I can contribute something to the cause, other than Photoshopped versions of other folks' stuff.  And the eclipse (and Cleveland) looked great.

That picture reminds me of seeing an aerial from a similar vantage point but in daytime shortly after the then-Jacobs Field opened. I was so impressed by how big-city Cleveland looked in that image without the pre-Gateway surface parking lots. We've added seven downtown towers of 20+ stories since 1994 and made that view even more impressive, especially during a total eclipse!

Took this about 1 month ago (had problems with my old method of linking photos), but I hadn't seen anyone post this angle since the crown went up:

Looking good!  I'm even starting to like the shack (OK, not really).

Legitimately a cool-looking city center.  Not that it wasn't before, but it definitely is now!  And about damn time.

Fahrenheit has to be chomping at the bit for staff to move in to the SW Building.  I'm sure they are seeing dollar signs.

seeing the new tower from the flats is a cool perspective:

It is remarkable how much of an impact this singular project is having and could potentially continue to have - I think we forget that not long ago this entire site was a MASSIVE wind swept parking lot for decades. Im sure we could nitpick this project to death for its flaws, but taking away almost all of that surface parking in one sweep is incredible. I hope the same will happen someday for the other one on West 9th and St Clair.

We need one of those slider pictures to compare the parking lots with the new tower.

Had dinner at Fahrenheit on Friday. Place is gorgeous, food fantastic but service was absolutely terrible. Won't go on a rant about it and I will go back, but yeah awful service. Back to SHW!!!...

Looking at the very edge of @Mov2Ohio's second picture, I realize how cool the ill-fated Medi-Mart-Mall thing (or whatever they call it now) would have looked as a 40-story building.

You’re not wrong. Rocco canned his long time Tremont Fahrenheit manager and imported Charlotte staff to run the new joint. That decision also caused a lot of the Tremont staff to go elsewhere. I went once, won’t be back.
