Remember this thread started back in 2007 about all the early 2000s rumblings of some tower that would take shape here. What page were we on when it officially flipped to SWHQ?
April 25, 20241 yr Just a screener from a live shot. We need SW2 and then something on the nucleus site and I'll be happy for a little while. Oh and those two 500' towers from bedrock/tower city... Edited April 26, 20241 yr by freethink comment

April 25, 20241 yr Yes, SHW 2. And a 600 footer on the nuCLEus site. And a tower at 8th & Prospect. And a tower or two at 9th & Bolivar. And Lumen 2 at 13th & Chester. Edited April 25, 20241 yr by LibertyBlvd

April 26, 20241 yr I think we've maxed out the number of different types of skyscraper rooftops there are, lol.

I’ve always thought of the loss of the Progressive Hg as “The one that got away”, even more than the loss of Ameritrust Center on PS. The audacity of Frank Gehry’s design would have challenged the national narrative regarding CLE’s “conservative” nature, and would have sparked development of the lakefront. I believe the SHW Hq- whose design isn’t quite so edgy- will have a similar impact on the Square and the Warehouse District.

May 2, 20241 yr Right now SW's coloration almost matches 55 Public Square - I guess when those shades are pulled out of the windows, SW will have that slightly darker color we see at the very top, right? @BoomerangCleRes's shot also makes me hope for a repurposed and reclad Justice Center and better lighting for ErieView Tower and One Cleveland Center, but I digress....

May 2, 20241 yr Sorry for the separate posts....just wondering if anyone here knows how to update Wikipedia - our Cleveland list of tallest buildings and skyline is out of date.

I last updated the List of Tallest Buildings in Cleveland wiki in October to include SW and CC in progress images. The skyline photos could definitely use an update as you said (maybe someone has one we could use?) - the list itself of tallest buildings isn't updated until buildings (in this case SW) are actually "complete".
May 2, 20241 yr Yeah as modern as the tower is that parking garage looks like it was built in 1970. Jeeze. How much more thought and care would it be to at least put up some kind of facade? Baring that they should at least use some of their color people to put up lighting that could incorporate rotating colors or something. I'm not an artist or anything but l imagine SHW could come up with something fun and interesting rather than this version that looks like an afterthought.
May 2, 20241 yr Eventually the parcels along W 6th and St. Clair will be developed which should mostly conceal those sides of the parking garage. Hopefully, that will happen relatively soon.
