Was in Chicago this weekend. Got drunk, stumbled around. Weather was horridly overcast the entire time. I did spend a lot of time in northcentral, wrigleyville, lakeview, west lake view? old town and lincoln park, but no pics, i was tired and hungover and probably walked about ten miles in a day.

Okay bye.

^i was gonna save that until you went to minneapolis. heh.

nice thread, the last one is killer.

you may not have cranes in the cleve, but at least you got crane.

Y'all done good!

I was there Monday - Thursday. Monday was sunny & a bit too warm, if anything. Tuesday was sunny with breeze and just a few clouds, just about perfect. Wednesday started out overcast, windy and almost chilly, and steadily got worse. By evening it was damn cold. Thursday started out dreary and by the time I got back to Michigan City it was cold & rainy.

bah.

Damn clouds.

Still looks good, though.

yeah, all the polarizing filters in the world weren't going to help the situation.

thanks all!

Regardless of the flat light you still got good density and saturation, and the photos are crisp.

Sounds like several of my trips to Chicago.  My brother used to live in Lakeview.

Thanks for taking the pictures that you did take.  I enjoyed the show.

Well done!  What's that bit about you maybe working in that building in Chicago... you thinking of moving?

Jennifer loved the photos; she wants to go to Chicago.  But alas, we are off to Burr Oak near McConnelsville.  I'll take some photos of Old Man's Cave and the McConnelsville Opera House for ya...

I was up in Chicago recently.

I love downtown, all the neo-gothic architecture is amazing(since its one of my favorite styles of architecture). Gorgeous structures, they should be there untill the end of time!

this building fades away like KOOW's sex life.

You're mistaken. Only one building comes close to mirroring my sexual prowess (the tall one in the middle):

Hey, Rome was not erected in a day.

Where's the place Elliot Ness threw Frank Nitti off the building?

Cue the Morricone theme

Bum bum bum...

Yeah, cool even with clouds.

  • 3 weeks later...

I can't respect this thread since you didn't go to the Billy Goat Tavern.  Good day, Sir! Indeed!
