I figure I'd show some pictures of the neighborhood I grew up in.  My old neighborhood of Andre is located on Saginaw, Michigan's West side and has quite the diversity of race, incomes, ages, and housing types.  From some of the older Victorian homes to small working class houses, well kept to entirely un-kept... well abandoned, the neighborhood has had it's up's and down's.  Recently, unemployment and large surges in crime have had a huge impact on many neighborhoods in the city, but mine has managed to hold very strong.  However, I noticed a few houses on my street have gone abandoned, and one house burned down.  I think the good has outweighed the bad, and I'll admit I've slanted this photo tour towards the good, and it helped that the weather was nice.

These were taken Oct 12th, over the University of Michigan's fall break.  The sideshow is two minutes long.

Nice, dude. I was going to say judging by the variety of housing stock it looks really diverse :)

Looks like a pleasant neighborhood; nice variety of housing including some really grand ones, well-kept. Excellent slide show, too.

Nice!

Great shots, Ian!
