They were outside as well) @@@@@@@ Main dance floor and stage This was one of the organizers of the event…. Seems like I’ve seen this face before Since this was supposed to be 70s, some 70s things… Leisure Suits “The Gatsby Look” Womens Fashion '70's Celebrities Jimmy Carter (in that red sportcoat he used to wear) Andy Bowie Bracketing the decade: Sly Stone and Devo Confetti Drop 24 Hour Party People dance on into the morning…. November 5, 200717 yr Well that's different. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
November 5, 200717 yr jeffery, although i have minor quibble with the attempt to co-op my era's 24hrparty people term (thats from the early 80's not the 70's, grrr!) -- forget that -- all in all those pics were pretty awesome. its very difficult to photograph so well in a club like that. i have to take pics for these big fancy blowout halloween/st pats parties almost every year, so i understand and i am very impressed by what you got.
November 5, 200717 yr ...wow thanks!... im just a snapshooter, so lots of hit and miss. If i knew about lighting and real photography these could be better. People were pretty cool about me taking pix of them, considering.... Believe it or not the Dayton Daily News photographer was there too, and got my pic! It was posted with the rest of his collection from the event over at the DDN website.
November 7, 200717 yr That party is a huge event....I went a few years ago when it was in a roundhouse/horse barn at a fairground. I met the couple that put it on...they own a salon near Downtown, and I believe they own the building the salon is in too. I was very impressed, and the guys seemed like good Dayton/ Downtown neighborhood activists. Glad it is still going strong.
November 7, 200717 yr Hey found an old pic from that one...it was 2004, and it is a bad pic, I think there was a fog machine. Notice the Lazarus/ Macy's Federated sponsorship
November 8, 200717 yr Wow, that party looks fun as hell! To echo what other's are saying your photography skills in clubs are pretty damn good. ^This chicks in the lower-left corner of this photo right above this look like they just wore their lingerie! lol.
