Posted November 8, 200717 yr West of Grandview and south of Upper Arlington, Marble Cliff is more UA than GV. It's a tiny area which consists of three streets inbetween 5th and 1st Aves with a population around 650. "Downtown" Marble Cliff A water feature! Well, it's November, but still at least it's there. These next three used to be a convent according to a friendly local who was walking her dog. She said that Marble Cliff is the most beautiful place you'll come across. While that's disputable, I was surprised by such a small place. What is it? This is named after the Prescott Bush mansion (yes, that Bush) which is being renovated into condos along with the surroundings which are new builds. Here it is. A horrendous garage slapped onto the original structure. You can see them doing work on top of the chimney. I found this to be the most interesting, almost missed this street too. And now for downtown UA. Not much activity due to the cold and the fact that it was after lunch hours. Saw quite a few parked cars, but no one walking.
November 8, 200717 yr I guess it's an improvement (3rd one down), although there was an urban Anthony Thomas shop further down 5th which is as urban as it gets within MC. It felt good to be in the Short North after that. I like some life on the streets.
November 8, 200717 yr Nope. It's way out off of W 5th Ave. Arlington Rd goes south through the middle of it and north takes you to downtown UA.
November 9, 200717 yr Ah yes, the hometown of THE BUSHES. Atleast they have fountains! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
November 9, 200717 yr Atleast they have fountains! Of course they're off because of all the hard freezes in early November south of US 30. Not. I've always wondered if there is an actual cliff in Marble Cliff. I mean... it's Columbus.

I've always wondered if there is an actual cliff in Marble Cliff. I mean... it's Columbus. I believe the area used to be a quarry, from which the stones for the State House were procured... I could be completely wrong though. I always enjoyed that little neighborhood :) Those autumn colors are looking BEAUTIFUL.
