Apparenlty the new owners are following the unwritten Dayton law that The Interior of Drinking Establishments Must Not Be Visible From the Street. Too bad, as the big front windows was a distinctive feature of this bar. Don Thrasher, music writer from the Dayton Daily News (originally with Guided By Voices,) spinning discs. I usually don’t come to Therapy much as there is a generation/style/economic gap for me here….though the interior is very nice & modern for a Dayton bar, with rotating art shows on the walls. DJ Ruckus Roboticus is the guy in glasses. In person, a very pleasant fellow. No attitude at all. I first heard him at a benefit here, and was impressed. Apparently he is getting some notice outside of Dayton. Guest Djs. I think these guys are from DC? I am not into this DJing/mixing scene or sound, but I liked what these guys were doing, working in the funk style.. Random hipster pix of the night I left early, but the crowd here was really building. The event was heavily promoted on Rev Cools Friday night radio show (the Rev was supposed to show up later, too).
