November 12, 200717 yr I recall some of those grand South Main Street homes from the tour at Christmastime a couple of years ago. The city has taken a hard fall from its hey-day in steel and paper, but it still has interesting character and some significant buildings. It would be wonderful to see some life return to downtown.
November 12, 200717 yr Great photog. Never would have guessed this about Mid. Also didn't know Verity started Armco.

That was less than a year ago, Rob. Times flies when you having fun, I guess. Dang! You're right! December 3, 2006. There's just too much excitement in my life! I better slow down! For any newbies or others who missed them back then, here's a shameless link to the Middeltown photos from that day. I enjoyed that tour, and enjoyed meeting some people who are putting their own money and sweat into trying to revive Middletown.
November 17, 200717 yr Love that b&w picture of Main Street. Did you take that picture from the Sorg Opera building? I've oftne wondered what some of th homes on Main Street originally looked like prior to alternations and vinyl siding. The Oakland and Crawford areas have been declining for years though. More recently, the Crawford area had some vibrant businesses and decent homes. Not so much anymore. It is one of the worst areas in town. Thanks again for the tour Ink.

November 20, 200717 yr This isn't Middletown. Stop lying! Middletown is Golden Corral, Cracker Barrel, and Towne Mall! ;) This house is interesting:
