It may be a bit touristy, but I found Port Clinton extremely pleasant.

Lots of good memories of Port Clinton, thanks.

I don't see it being that touristy (from the photos you provided), but it seems as if some of the buildings are tastefully restored. Others scream out for help. Great shots!

Yeah, doesn't look very touristy to me either.  Looks nice though... in parts.  You should be just about done with your county seat tour!

Yeah, it isn't touristy, just a bit touristy. By that I mean that it has businesses and restaurants only because of Lake Erie being right there; otherwise, Port Clinton's commercial uses would be the typical bland options of any other midwest rural county seat.

Actually, I've only posted 40 of the 88 thus far.

Keep them coming, please.

Interesting.

That HVAC business looks like an interesting building re-use.

Very attractive town.

I think that building practically cries out to be a movie theatre again. Imagine it with the neon restored.

Nice-looking town.

Again, another very nice looking small town with a grand courthouse.  The 60's addition looks somewhat sympathetic, at least in material.  The tower is really terrific.

i was pleasantly surprised by port clinton in my brief trek through there
