Okay, so this wigged me out a little and it's been bugging me ever since. Picture it:

 

At the grocery store, minding my own business (like I do) and trying to pick out something to grill that evening. Then, I see out of the corner of my eye a person wearing a hoodie and baggy pants - given the area, I think nothing of it until I realize they're standing next to me. The person is a female - pasty, with slightly sunken eyes but the type who could be pretty with nourishment and sunlight (you get the idea).

 

She then proceeds to ask me "Excuse me, are you going to be paying for your groceries in cash?".  :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

 

Stunned, I did the first thing that came to mind and began speaking "Ehhh...No Enn...glish... no..." and she apologized and quickly scurried off into some dark corner. Hey, I speak English quite nicely but I was hungry and let me tell ya - that "no English" thing has worked rather frequently!

 

Anyway - my mind started racing (like it does) and I thought - why would she ask such a thing? If I said "no, credit card" would she launch  into a tirade of the evils of Visa/Mastercard? Would she have pulled a gun and told me to use a debit card and get some cash out for her? Then the other day, my galpal at the gym said she had someone do the SAME thing at a store in Lakewood?!? Was she part of a band of roving hoodie-wearing gypsies!?!?!

 

Again -  :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

 

So can anyone tell me why she was asking that? I guess I need to work on looking less approachable  :evil:

LMAO. I got it right away; theres so much white trash in my family that has tried to pull the same stuff with me. She might not have wanted Heroin but the sh!t is pathetic nontheless. You also wouldn't believe what some people do to themselves to get a prescription for Vicodin. People put so much effort into beating the system; if only they put that energy to good use.
