Late last week, the independent retailer of paint and wallpaper, a fixture in Greater Cleveland for nearly a century, apparently closed its five remaining stores, putting out of work the handful of people who stuck with the well-known company until the end. December 20, 200717 yr I've never heard of Blonder's Paint before. I would imagine it'd be difficult to be an indie paint dealer anywhere, unless you had a very specialized niche.
December 20, 200717 yr They had long time problems, the largest being that Benjamin Moore decided to dump their agreement to let Blonders be the exclusive dealer for the region. After that they struggled.
