Since I'm going to create a short series, I'm reposting this thread which was lost  Fortunately I had it saved in notepad  :-D

 

Here's some photos of a two block stretch of Warren Ave near California.  This area is known as East Garfield Park and is not too far west of downtown Chicago.  The neighborhood has suffered some neglect in its time, but is now coming back to life, and many renovations are taking place.

Wow, jackson beats out Detroit too?  They don't even have the RenCen.

I like the look of those rows.  Reminds me of where I grew up in PA.
