May 14, 200916 yr Jesus H, what the F is going on in Mansfield? This is the neighborhood I grew up in: Now RNR, you know very well that this has nothing to do with the neighborhood (or Mansfield) and everything to do with some crazy person whose motives are unknown. . I agree this is astonishing and I am glad that no one was hurt. I hope that the authorities are able to catch the person responsible.
May 14, 200916 yr Well, I hope that's the case. I haven't been following the news there as carefully as I usually do so I didn't know if this was something that's been going on elsewhere in the city or what. Sounds like someone is completely whacked out and they need to find them and get them gone.

May 14, 200916 yr Well, I hope that's the case. I haven't been following the news there as carefully as I usually do so I didn't know if this was something that's been going on elsewhere in the city or what. Sounds like someone is completely whacked out and they need to find them and get them gone. What was said in the article to make you think that it happens on a daily basis (or has been happening lately)? And as you can see by the article you just posted, this incident is not related to the neighborhood or city at all (the guy lives in the south side of Mansfield). So, I was right in that this is some crazy who has committed random acts of violence. Also, I don't see what this has to do with Mansfield Business/Development News. Maybe a new thread could be created for General Mansfield News and Happenings and these off topic posts could be put there?
May 14, 200916 yr *sigh* I thought it was relevant to the hospital, since they clearly seemed to be the target with everything happening in that vicinity. And since there was more than one incident, that it what led me to believe something has been going on there "lately." If the mods want to delete the whole thing, feel free.
May 14, 200916 yr ^Sorry,it's been a long day. With your attitude towards Mansfield, I just took your comments as attacking the city and I got overly defensive. I see now how you could have been lead to that conclusion but they weren't both at the hospital. One was at someone's house, which was near the hospital (Wood St.), and the other one was in the hospital parking lot. Also, I don't think it should be deleted, just moved somewhere else.
May 14, 200916 yr It's ok, long day here too. I actually was aghast/horrified. While I think Mansfield has a lot of problems and I'm glad I don't live there anymore, I still think very fondly of the neighborhood I grew up in and was aghast that something like this is happening where I used to ride my bike or whatever. It's been the subject of several nightmares to me what has happened to the house I grew up in, for example. I still think that there's no better pizza to be had than Leaning Tower and no better burger to be had than Porky's, I talk them up all the time on my food sites. I would love to see the city be better than it is, I just see it as more "warts" than "flowers."
