January 12, 200817 yr CCU!?!? Why would you drop that as THE place in Price Hill? I know the pickings are slim for Price Hill hot spots, but really...CCU?!?!
January 13, 200817 yr CCU!?!? Why would you drop that as THE place in Price Hill? I know the pickings are slim for Price Hill hot spots, but really...CCU?!?! Probably Elder high school boys trying to make fun of the neighborhood their school is in. This video sets white rappers back about 20 years.
January 13, 200817 yr BTW, I like how they changed Cincinnati Bible College to "Cincinnati Christian University. CCU makes it sound like it's actually a reputable school.

January 13, 200817 yr Let's see...white kids making video parodies of rappers using their own neighborhood, vehicles, and selves...welcome to 1989. There just wasn't Youtube yet, so these tapes were just played at parties and maybe snuck on public access, so hopefully none of the youngsters out there think this is anything new. Certainly, there hasn't been anything new in rap or the white response to it in...decades. It just keeps going and going, having robbed an entire generation and more of good music.

Do you have any facts that it is not a reputable school, or are you just against organized religion? I don't want to speak for David, but I will. It wasn't that he was claiming it's not reputable...but rather that the new name makes it sound more reputable. There is a difference.

The comment, "actually a reputable school", implies that it is trying to be something its not, that it is not actually reputable. Had he said "more reputable" it wouldn't have mattered.
January 13, 200817 yr I always thought they offered more majors than just biblical studies, because they make it sound like they do, which is how I came to the conclusion they were trying to seem more reputable by the name change. It is not a "university". I can't argue whether or not it's a reputable bible college, but it's definitely not a university. I should have said university instead of school, for clarity. I don't know how it ranks compared to other bible colleges, nor do I care. I have nothing against organized religion; I think faith gives people reassurance that they need and the bible helps people form their own life narrative in a way that's fulfilling (or it should in theory). Every culture that I'm aware of is religious to some extent, even when cultures were isolated on different continents so who am I to be "against it"?
