It will probably be a Cameron Mitchell restaurant, seems what would fit into clintonville. it does look a lot better and would be even better if the 4 story on the other side had gotten approved. I think an addition of parking over retail in the parking lot would make this even better, but that won’t happen.

This needs to happen with the ground floor commercial. The nut jobs of this neighborhood I've chosen to live in need to realize dense developments along High are good for everyone who lives here. It also mentions he is in talks with a short north property, would love if it is the Garden property. The Punch List: This Central Ohio developer wants to buy more than just your land A relatively new player in the Central Ohio commercial real estate scene is working to build a business buying shovel-ready development projects right off the shelf. Ho also bought a Merion Village project site and project plans in 2022. The same architect stayed on for this project as well as the Clintonville project. The 19 townhomes planned in Merion Village will range from 1,500 square feet to 2,600 square feet and two to three stories. The larger units will have rooftop patio access. Ho has also bought properties at 172 Ohio Avenue and 1290 Rich St., which he said have also been rezoned for development. He is working on acquiring a Short North-area property, but declined to share that location.

Late in the buildings construction they decided to chop a few floors off the top because the building was already $10 million over budget in the early 1970s, which was like 20% of the entire buildings original budget at the time.

I went down a rabbit hole in 2022 and debunked that rumor 😉 TLDR, every publicly released version of the building, from announcement, to drawings, to the scale model on display before ground breaking is the exact building we have today.

If it's not, I'd imagine it's something minor as you suggested, since they very recently went through the process of updating the sign.

March 25, 20241 yr I was also thinking the other day that clintonville needs to get ahead of the growth and start figuring out where to incorporate some parking garages like they have done in the short north. They love to complain about parking, so no better time to get on it than now.

It's more about fighting the mindset that one needs to park right outside of their destination and not walk a few blocks. Shared parking is another solution - a restaurant could utilize a bank lot during non banking hours.

I actually drove from one business to another in the same shopping center, Graceland, until a non-American pointed out how crazy that is. Those spaces are exactly what is wrong with designing around cars. There is no reason we should be driving between Kroger and target, but it just doesn’t feel safe to walk most of the time. If it is nicer outside, we usually walk it more.

What is the price range of the cars they sell? If it's mostly under $10-15K they are going to sell out often.
