August 12, 200816 yr I was told that the EPA went into further investigations because of discrepencies a State EPA employee discovered between the developer's site condition report, and what was actually there. The environmental impacts of this project have been the MAJOR issue with this project from the beginning. Destroying hillsides, burying streams, and disturbing valuable/unique wildlife is not looked highly upon...especially when it turns out that you might have fudged the report a bit to make a more convincing case for your project. If these issues weren't preexisting then I would agree that it's not fair, but it seems as though the developers are getting what they had coming for them.
