Delray is located in southwest Detroit, the boundaries are roughly Fort Street,   It was incorporated as a village in 1897 and annexed by the city of Detroit in 1906.  Historic Fort Wayne is located in this neighborhood.

Desperate-looking area. What's the story behind the angels?

They need to just build the bridge to Canada and get it done with.

I believe Del Ray is one of the candidates for a new "highway" bridge to Canada to relieve the Ambassador and Tunnel.

There is a plan to entirely flatten Del Ray and build a bridge.  Everything you see in Zach's photos will no longer exist.

Won't be much of a loss

^  Correct.  It's one of the most depopulated areas on the SW side.  Not sure though what's on the Canadian side.  I need to look at a map.
