Posted January 21, 200817 yr ALL: Would it be a good idea to start posting legislators' votes on transportation related issues and our responses? I am specifically thinking of Senator Voinovich's negative vote on S. 294, the Amtrak reauthorization, but there are others, including the votes on the T-HUD bill. I personally am getting VERY tired of "nay" votes and form letter responses to my queestions. Time to turn up the heat! Likewise, we should also give those legislators who "get it" a pat on the back. Any thoughts?
January 21, 200817 yr Sure...Voinavich gave me a worthless reply to a letter I wrote urging him to support the Ohio Hub plan and other rail initiatives. He said he would, "keep my thoughts in mind" the next time he needed to vote on a related issue. Well thanks for nothing d!ck. On a side note, Steve Chabot has consistantly voted against rail transportation...and I personally believe that he has accomplished VERY little during his long tenure as a US Representative.
