Posted January 23, 200817 yr Hi all...we're new to Lakewood. I have a petsitter lined up for our dog, but would like to have the name of a reputable kennel as back-up when the sitter isn't available. Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of a good place for the pooch in/near Lakewood? Thanks in advance!
January 23, 200817 yr Welcome CurlyGirl. (more ladies...yeah) Sorry, I can't answer your question, but wanted to welcome you!
January 23, 200817 yr Welcome to the forum! There are two places I can think of: The closest to Lakewood would be Inn The Doghouse on Berea Road: http://innthedoghouse.com. Not as close is Mutt Hutt in Tremont: http://www.themutthutt.com/ As with anything - especially involving a loved one (yes, I consider dogs "loved ones"), do your homework and don't be afraid to ask questions, get referrals, etc. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
January 23, 200817 yr Welcome to my community, CurlyGirl! I'm also a resident of The 'Wood. I can also recommend the Doghouse on Berea Road. I wouldn't recommend the Mutt Hut -- I've seen too many surveillance videos of the place (and I'll leave it at that!!). I also second MTS's welcoming of more ladies, but unlike him and MayDay, I actually like them ("INCOMING!" ). January 23, 200817 yr Ha! Good to know. And thanks for the recommendations! I called Inn the Doghouse and I'll go check it out in person. Anyone know anything about Barney's K-9 Resort on W. 121st? BTW, what does it say that I'm finding new digs for my dog before I even get doctors for the family?
January 23, 200817 yr I'd say you have your priorities straight (aka I know the feeling - see below): clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
