With some top prospects due to be called up and a weak NL Central, this could get very interesting as we head into the summer stretch.

  • What a garbage take. And give it up about Seelbach. This has nothing to do with him. We all know you don't like him.   He wouldn't have said it on the air if he thought his mic was on. He kn

  • It's perfect timing, really. The RNC should invite him to speak at next week's victimfest along with all the other people that have been cancelled faced consequences for their actions.

  • The part that's most annoying to me is he started his apology by saying "if" I offended anyone, which is immediately insincere. I also like that he said "I'm a man of faith" like that is a good thing.

Another regular season sellout tonight, but it's in large part because of the post-game entertainment:

The Reds have gotten really interesting in recent weeks and could be in first place by this time next week, if not earlier.

At Monday's game, a new pitcher made his major league debut pitching the bottom of the 10th inning - a crazy situation!

At the beginning of this year, when I listened to the radio, I had no idea who was on the Reds and who was on the other team. Now these guys are starting to become regular names.

I will say two things about the Reds:

  • The rebuild is WAY ahead of schedule.
  • Win or lose, they are an incredibly fun team to watch!

Great game last night: Votto back with a homer and RBIs.  Now a 9 win streak.

The season has been magical. Votto didn't want to say it, but it still slipped out: this team has a different energy than the ones that competed in the early 2010's.

I didn't think I'd see a more fun Reds team than the ones in that era that would get a lead with strong starting pitching and then have Chapman come out and close the game with 103 mph fastballs.

This team gives me memories of the 1999 team that was so fun to watch.

I hope the ownership will make some moves to keep the winning ways going. It's also funny that Phil Castellini made that PowerPoint at the beginning of the season basically saying the Reds were out of contention before the season started.

That is funny. That's the kind of stuff sarcastic fans do rather than team owners. Like making a special effort to go down to Florida for spring baseball then wearing a sack on your head in the stands.

The Reds sold out tonight's game against Atlanta and might sell out the weekend.  Hard to believe this reality after the terrible attendance back in April and early May.

Sounds like they set a record for the 3 game series.

Here are the standings at the All-Star Break:

The season has already been a success as compared to 2022, when they only won 62 games.  But I am skeptical that they can keep pulling rabbits out of hats like they did in June and July, especially since starting pitching has been consistently bad.

The last-place Reds manage to sweep the first-place Dodgers over the Memorial Day Weekend:

Hopefully this isn't the highlight of the 2024 season?

Aside from sweeping The Yankees - this is possibly the highlight of the 2024 season:

The Reds are currently without a TV partner for next season. Diamond sports only held on to the Braves in their portfolio for next season. It'll be interesting to see what happens. The only reason I have a Spectrum TV subscription is for the Reds and now I'm hoping MLB goes to a deal like MLS or EPL with Peacock or AppleTV. Some big games remain on Fox and ESPN but put the bulk of the season on a streaming platform. I'm also wondering what's going to happen with the Blue Jackets and Cavs in the future.

Yes. I am tired of the Spectrum shuffle myself as well.

They still have a ways to go with the roster imo. But this is a good sign

Yeah will be interesting to see the build up. I highly doubt Terry would take the job if ownership didn’t tell him the intent is to win NOW.

Completely agree. I'm sure Terry was expensive to hire.  It's hard to imagine, but it seems like they're going to push the budget high (for the Castellini's) in this 3 year window before Greene and Elly leave for LA, and Terry retires. Then go back to penny-pinching.

The Reds return to Great American Ballpark on Friday, April 11.  Get ready for the media to flip out over flood-related stadium clean-up.
