Posted January 29, 200817 yr One of my favorite Ohio towns, easily. I mean, darn! Not Chesire, Pomeroy. Is that a Carnegie Library yonder? Yes, yes it is.
January 29, 200817 yr Excellent work! Very pretty. The land that time forgot, and such. Not feeling very eloquent today...
January 29, 200817 yr I love Pomeroy. Their downtown is quite vibrant, much like Gallipolis', despite the floods that come and go every so often. It's a very dense town as well. It's a shame you didn't make it to see their old school along old US 33 -- it was a really nice building that was recently demolished.
January 29, 200817 yr Easily one of the best county seats in the state for its size (it has less than 2,000 people!). "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 29, 200817 yr Love those little river towns. The courthouse is a gem too, with the unusual dome and the double stairs. Adds a touch of the old riverboat era.
