So, I am looking for a place that has "intramural" basketball or some kind of league...I have yet to find a place that even offers anything close...I would like to find somewhere in the Old Brooklyn area...Does anyone have any ideas?  Any help would be appreciated...

Nope, But I just checked them about and they don't seem to have anything posted or any events...

Thanks for the link though...

Thanks Mayday, I appreciate your help...

They have Men's A and B Basketball Leagues listed on ClevelandPlays...registration deadline is April 3.

Anyone interested in starting/joining a league?

Can you ball?

I play twice a week (in the mornings) now, I am average...Neither good or bad...

Always, PM me.

Do you play much MTS?  My team in the last league I played in really coulda used a 6'4" guy.  We were all pretty talented, but we were 6 guys all under 6'1" and all weighing less than 160 pounds (pretty much all guards in h/s), so we got killed on the boards.

^^Also, I meant to ask where you play in the mornings?  Is it just an informal open gym type setting, or an organized group of guys that get together and play?

Really what league(s)?

Midgets!  :-P :-P :-D

Naa, I don't play as much as i'd like to.  I know there is a very very competitive league at the CH recreation pavillion.  But its like the NBA development league.

Usually just a pick up game at my brother or one of my cousins house, but now that their kids are high school age my brother/cousins are trying to relive their former careers via their kids.  Opps...I had a new thread idea.

I used to belong to the CH rec and there were some decent pickup games there at times, real spotty though.  I never played in the league there.

Yeah, we were midgets, but we could run the floor and shoot (most of the time, that's the problem with shooting outside).

OK Steve Nash!  LOL  I'll team you up with my brother 6'6" and cousins 6'6 (2),  6'7" (2) and one is 6'8".  You can form two teams since they have no gaurds.

In the summer the place is maddening.  That park next to cumberland pool is also a dangerous place to play because everyone is a former basketball star.  You mess up once, and you'll never be picked again.  My cousins played at there back in the 80's

The community league at the JFK rec center is also tough.

Really what league(s)?

It just a bunch of us teachers that play before school...We start at 5:50 and usually go till 7...

I would say it is pretty organized, most are coaches or x athletes, it gets pretty competitive...

It's too late for this season, but Fairview Park Recreation Department has a men's league which is 6'2" and under. They have an A and a B league. We used to play at Fairview High School, but the new Gemini Center opened this year so our games our now played there. It's always on Sundays with games anywhere from 11AM to 2PM starting in late December running through the spring. Keep it on your radar for next year I guess.

Time to bring back an old thread.

So I am looking for some good out door courts to play at during the summer.  Anyone know where there are some good pick up games in the city?

Does location matter?  City, suburb, eastside or westside.
