My father-in-law died in the line of duty and each year at the National Fire Academy, they have a memorial for the families of all those that died that previous year.  This past October we went to Emmitsburg and visited Washington and Virginia while attending "Memorial Weekend"  It was the most amazing thing that I attended last year.
