New thread, so post anything relevant here.

These are not in pre-sales anymore (they haven't been for a while) and can best be described as "proposed".

*  Conversion of old Crowne Plaza Hotel to condos

*  76 condos, townhouses and penthouses to the 19-floor downtown Cincinnati hotel while reducing the number of hotel rooms from 321 to 135. The property also will get a new name, Next Hotel and Residences, along with a dramatic new look with a glass exterior covering much of the building.

*  Bottom two floors to contain retail shops

*  Floors 3-5 to contain office space

did the old thread on this get erased or something?

The unit listings were pulled from the Cincinnati MLS quite some time ago.  The Huff and Schoonover web sites do'nt have anything for it anymore.

When does this get moved to the abandoned projects thread?

These were part of the Cincinnati Downtown Living Tour I went on last fall.  They were beautiful.  I got to tour two models in there and they had great views of Carew Tower. I hope this project is still moving forward.

I stopped by their redeocrated floor one day not long after the announcement.  I couldn't get past the feeling of a repainted second rate hotel.  The thing that bothered me the most was the ceiling.  I don't think it was even a full 8 foot. It felt clausterphophic.

I wished it had worked, but I think it has died on on the vine (no pun intended).

I'll move this to Abandoned Projects until we hear otherwise.

Hmm...maybe we should all chip in and buy it.  If every member chips in $75,315, then we're in business for the new UrbanOhio corporate HQ.

$30 million seems like a lot for that buiding, I would expect a window or two for my 75K. I hope any buyer would still consider the new facade. The listing has a slightly updated image.

Ummm...someone purchased this building and closed on it on December 1.

They list themselves as:

Sixth St Cincinnati LLC

708 Third Ave.,

NY, NY 10017

I tried to do some research to find out who these people are.  Apparently, 708 Third Ave. is a huge office building because the list of tenants from a simple White Pages search was astronomical.

The auditor's website lists the sale price as $15.6 million.

Anyone care to guess who this is?  Anyone have some time on their hands and want to try to do the legwork?

I could find no records for such a company.  I will ask around at the office what the status is with HUFF on this project.

Well, they incorporated in Delaware (but who doesn't?) in September of this year and that's about all I can tell.  Their agent is just some corporate services agent so that doesn't help much.

Terrace Hotel to close Oct. 31

Business Courier of Cincinnati - by Laura Baverman Staff Reporter

Cincinnati’s 15th largest hotel, downtown’s Terrace Hotel, will close Oct. 31, according to its staff.

“We will officially be closed as of tomorrow,” an operator at the hotel said Thursday afternoon. “As far as I know, it is permanent.”

What was this originally? A Hyatt?

I was originally the The Terrace Plaza Hotel, built by the same family that built the Netherland Plaza earlier.

It was a Hilton, then a Crowne Plaza before foregoing a flag alltogether.

Basically, Netherland Plaza got their Hilton flag when they dropped Omni.

Um sorry.

It was the the "Terrace Plaza" before it was a Hilton.

Please note I said "Terrace Plaza", not "Crown Plaza".
