A cold snowy/wet winters day.  Immerse yourself in the postive vibes of warm, sunny Findlay Market.

Heist.  The Interior looks like right out of the 1940s or 30s.

Yes. Nice pics for sure.

Nice shots!  I wish it was that warm again ;).

Man do I miss Cincinnati.  Great stuff.

great set.  ugh, sitting here looking outside at the snow, makes me miss the summer and the green and these pictures arent helping.

Great Pics! I cant wait until this area is completely revitalized.

Oh, I'm so excited!!!  I'm going to Cincy this weekend for the first time since summer 2006, and this is one place I really want to see.  Is the inside open year round?  I hope so.

Yup.  It will be great to visit during the summer.

This is truly one of the most special places in the city.  The vibrancy, diversity, and feeling of urbanity is unparalleled in the city.

Nice pics. I love the street life you get in open markets.

Imagine a Findlay Market type of place between Calhoun and McMillan!

I constantly imagine Hartshorn being converted to pedestrian only, but I imagine it more as an open area for street performers, small vendors, and lots of outdoor seating for eating/relaxing.

Like maybe a mix between this:

Yes I think that would be an excellent idea, but I think the neighborhood would have to get a little better before people would feel comfortable enough to hang out outside of the Market's borders.

You mean like the people that hang out and eat/drink/be merry along Calhoun Street...during nice weather, those table are packed at all the restaurants at University Park.  I really think it would be a booming success.

University Heights is not that bad, especially when you consider the visibility of McMillan and Calhoun. Don't you go to a school in DC? I think you have a misperception of the level of fear in Uptown, especially in the day time. I think you have to really live somewhere or make going there a part of your lifestyle to truely understand the social climate of an area. Many people's perception of OTR would leave them to beleive a place like Findlay Market wouldn't thrive but they've been in business over a century if I remember correctly.

Wait, I thought that we were talking about the area around Findlay Market being developed like those pictures in Atlanta.  No, I would definitely agree that Uptown (between Calhoun and McMillan) would be a great area to be developed in that way. I just thought that we were discussing the area around Findlay, which I still think the neighborhood would need to be cleaned up before it could be utilized like that.

You know what's sad?  I lived in Cincinnati for 4 years and never went to the market while it was open!  Those pics depict that great, old-timey feel that I found so charming about OTR, but with people!  Great stuff.

On a side note, I wonder why Cleveland has so few buskers around its large public gathering places.  Cincinnati was always full of them... Ludlow, the bridges to the stadiums, Findlay Market, etc...  In Cleveland, the only place I ever see anyone is that sax guy who plays at Playhouse Square every night.  Sure, there are staged events that bring street performers out, but it's a much different ballgame.

In all my times visiting Cincinnati, and seeing tons of the city, I've never been to Findlay Market.  Very disappointed in myself.

I'm leaving Milwaukee in 45 minutes for CINCINNATI!!!  Maybe I'll see some of you tonight.  I'm so excited for Findley Market, the Square, and CHILI!!!

The part I'm looking forward to the most is being able to buy canned Skyline at the store.  They don't sell it up here.

^ Cool, who are you meeting up with?
