With the Republican nomination all but wrapped up, there's still quite a bit of dueling left between the two remaining Democratic candidates.  Who will you vote for on March 4th?

Obama is usually pulling in 60%+ of the vote when he has been winning lately.  Hillary Clinton is going to have to do the same for it really to be a substantial win.  56% is a good amount, but that gap will certainly be closed once Obama starts his push...and I'm not sure that a 51% win will really do much to quell the doubt circling over the Clinton campaign right now.

Chelsea is at CSU tomorrow...although I think Hillary has begun the spiral down

Today, for the first time, Obama is polling ahead of Clinton nationally.  Trend is Obama up, Clinton down.  Ohio is crucial.  Will we act like NH and put a damper on Obama's momentum.  I hope not, because if it stays this close, it could be decided by lawyers and superdelegates, and that would be very ugly.

This may or may not be on topic, but does anyone know how I could get tickets for the upcoming debate at CSU?

If this is the wrong place to put this, please feel free to move it...

drats...those bastards at MSNBC confirmed...nevermind.

I have no idea what that even means...

Yes, please clarify MTS.  Some of us must be out of the loop here.

ask you friends at msnbc.  They almost caused the debate to be cancelled.  One good note, I now don't have to go to Columbus!

I heard there is no public sale, BUT there has to be tickets somewhere I can get my hands on...It's a big convocation center...

Here is some info

CLEVELAND -- WKYC-TV confirmed that Sen. Hillary Clinton will take part in the Feb. 26 presidential debate with Sen. Barack Obama at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University

The 9 p.m. debate, sponsored by CSU and NBC News, will be carried live on WKYC-TV 3.

NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams and Meet The Press's Tim Russert will moderate the Cleveland debate.

Thanks for the info...I appreciate it...

As much as I would love to go to the debate, I console myself that have to behave yourself when you go. So,  it would not be as fun as you think. I just could not be more thrilled THAT WE MATTER.  This is as much fun (in a different and much more important way) as the Indians making the play offs. As a side note, didn't one of the articles say they would only have a couple thousand tickets available(despite so much capacity at CSU)? Also I think those tickets would be distributed by each campain rather than available to the public.

After one week and another two primaries (Hawaii & Wisconsin) going to Obama, here are the standings:

Obama: 23 votes (72%)

Clinton: 3 votes (9%)

Not Voting Dem: 5 votes (16%)

Not Voting: 1 vote (3%)

Let's hear from some more of you Urban Ohioans!

I wonder why that one person will not vote?  Not to call anyone out, because they could be out of town or unable to vote from some reason.

I'm just posting this for informational purposes, this in no way represents an endorsement (or non-endorsement) of either Clinton or Obama. Mayor Frank Jackson sent a letter to both, outlining his desires and wants for the city of Cleveland - and that his endorsement depended on each candidate's response. This is a PDF of the response from Clinton: http://www.clevelandskyscrapers.com/clintonletter.pdf

It will be interesting to see if Obama responds, and if their is any substance to his response.

^wasn't the Obama response in the PD recently... like on valentines day i believe...

Maybe they don't live in Ohio?  I cast my Obama ballot on super Tuesday.  Didn't help much though.

yeah, thats why I asked.  they might be an out of state UOian.

I get the same look when people (in NY) ask me if I've voted and I say no.

My neighbor went off on me and gave me the hell.  Then I explained to her that I am not a NY resident, but I do exercise my right to vote in Ohio.

Maybe they are a felon (could be any of you all) or under 18 (david). now I am curious

David? The David? I'm 21. I actually registered to vote at 17. I have felons in my family that can't vote; which is BS in my opinion. It's bad enough they can't get jobs.

Jackson's endorsement carries added value for the candidates because he represents the most delegate-rich area of the state. With the Democratic race so close, every delegate matters.

I am guilty of not reading Mayor Jacksons entire letter, but I have to give him much credit and applaud him for putting in writting what he wants for Cleveland AND the county.

I think this is the change we've been looking for in our Mayro and the Frank is bringing respect back to Cleveland City Hall without being flashy or constantly being in the public eye.

Jackson used a campaign appearance by Obama's wife, Michelle, at Cleveland State University as the forum to announce his choice.

^^Great to hear the endorsement from Cleveland's mayor...hopefully Cincinnati's mayor will soon do the same.

Obama also just got a key endorsement from the Teamsters Union...there are about 60,000 Teamsters in Ohio - one of the largest unions in the state.

^ That's a good one.

And now.  For the heavyweight championship of the world!  The Showdown in Cleveland!

That's the best picture they could find of him?  He looks like he is eating that mic...

he did

I think Hilary really dodged around a lot of questions...

Yeah she dodged and attacked him.  She came across like a petty kid and the SNL comment will be a sound bite for the next 48 hours.

to add:  Oh and the tax return question - she lost big time.  Her body language and blinking is going to be heavily analyzed.

^---My thoughts exactly. I'm starting to think just being the first woman president is more her main goal. I mean, yea, that's an accomplishment, but I'm more concerned about this country's well being right now.

when she mentioned SNL, I kept wondering if  he would turn to her circa 1977 Chevy Chase/Jane Curtain and say "Hillary, you ignorant slut..." Of course I do not condone that sort of language.

^Would you say that you "reject" or "denounce" that kind of language?

truthfully? neither

^Would you say that you "reject" or "denounce" that kind of language?

Obama actually snickered on that one. So did I. That was just a dumb comment all together.

That tax return question really got her.  She was not sincere with her response, and her body language told on her.

Well, I think she pretty much sealed her fate with Ohio voters...I'm hoping.

lol!  I have that SNL clip on my computer...wish there was some way to share it...

hilarious Peabody!

or was it Dan Akroyd?

Obama won the debate.

I agree, but is it enough for Ohio?

It was enough for me, I voted last week :D

Someone as young as you could be confused and mistake Chevy Chase for Dan Ackroyd!  :wink2:

I am hardly young. But I was in the 70's

OK, so I am working night shifts and I could not watch it.  Was there any beauty shots of the fair city?  Any mentions of Cleveland at all?
