New photos: OTR Part II

Here is a series of photos I took on January 26, 2008.

The first shots are from the 2000 block of Elm Street, where Bryon Martin is considering building a brewpub if the streetcar is approved.  The stone building pictured is the former Christian Moerlein brewery offices.

Afterwards, I dropped by Findlay Market.

The final photos are just me driving around an killing time, and then stopping off at Two Centennial Plaza to pick up some documents.

I think this is my favorite set of yours. Great work!

This thread captures the OTR feeling better than most.  Great pics.

Yikes Kevin, I never heard about #23.  When did one of the buildings in CityWest catch on fire.  It is rare to see a newer building like that deal with fire.

Overall, great collection.  There is quite a bit of difference from the Over-the-Rhine in my gallery I just posted here: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,15347.0.html and this one.  We have a long way to go but I think the momentum will continue in a positive direction.

Cool.

Findlay market and Krauses look yummy.

From what I recall, there was a two-alarm fire there in mid-December.  The condo is condemned, but I don't think there are any plans on what to do with it yet.

Great job!  Love picture #16.

Great stuff...although it looks pretty cold.  Right now I'm enjoying 70 degree weather down here in Baton Rouge.  :-D

Before this passed Saturday, I had no experience with the neighborhood either.  I fell in love with it through photos and reputation.  I took a vacation down there for the weekend, and I had no clue that so many people just stood around.  It's amazing.  Aren't there laws against loitering like that?  Anyway, the Gateway Quarter looks great and I will be with you guys every step of the way, on the long fight for OTR.  Oh, and don't let anything bad happen to Findlay Market, that place is a jewel, and I can't bear to see it fall prey too.

My thoughts on Cincinnati are keeping me warm through the bitter Milwaukee winter.

Very very very very good!

Quite nice!

Little one-story buildings as in #26 always seem so weird.

I love the "urban art".  Where is pic 5 located?

Almost directly across the street from pic #1, which is at 2019 Elm Street.

PigBoy...It's even weirder when you go into one of those one-story buildings and realize it's actually three stories built into the hillside with a deck and a city view!

2 alarm fire on December 15, 2007 at 10:20 p.m.  There are 3 photos of the incident on the CFD History site.  http://www.cfdhistory.com/htmls/incident.php
