Hey does anyone know how to get to Oxford without a car?  I'm trying to see just how hard it is to get to places without having a car since I currently don't have one.  Is there bus coverage in Oxford?

In town, the only service is Miami Metro. The only bus service out of town is between the Hamilton and Oxford campus through the week. The university used to (and may very well still) run buses to various locations (Chicago, Columbus, and Cleveland) at the beginning and end of breaks. A couple students run informal taxi services, but otherwise, there aren't many other options. Basically, if you aren't affiliated with Miami, you're in trouble.

Yeah, Bob's need-a-ride will get you there from Cincy for about 85 bucks...cheaper the more people you can get...

A friend of a friend of mine is pretty cheap.

Taken from facebook.com:

Starship Taxi Service

listed below are the standard round trip rates i charge for popular destinations (if you only want to go one-way just divide by two):

Dayton - $40

Cincinnati - $40

Indianapolis - $80

Columbus - $85

BGSU - $130

OU - $130

Cleveland - $190

...and if you want to bring a friend along, just add $10 to the total ($5 if you're going one way) and split the cost between you!!!

Amtrak goes through Oxford but doesn't stop. Too bad.

thanks
