Washington, DC: Part Two - M Street Residential Corridor & Georgetown

Featured Replies

We pick up my little tour on M Street.  There are quite a few nice hotels and nice rental properties and I walk over to Georgetown.

I love the L/M/N/O street area that crosses with 21 through 25 street.  It's what I hope the area around The Avenue District turns into.

One of my favorite hotels   The Park Hyatt is also fab!  Hint, hint for those looking for a romantic getaway.

In front of the Four Seasons as I cross into Georgetown.  In my walk I must have encountered 100 homeless people.  I didn't realize it was that bad in this section of DC.

Nice photos!

I can't believe the similarities between the Four Seasons and the Hamiltonian Hotel in Hamilton.

I bet you can the difference on the inside!

Yeah, the Hamiltonian is currently being gutted.

nice. But completely unrecognizable from my very youthful days of romping around Georgetown in the late 80's somewhat circa St Elmos fire. Only a few people on her are old enough to know what I am talking about!

What is this St. Elmos Fire you speak of?

Wow, nice shots.

welllllll let's put it this way, today while cleaning up the apt i pulled out an olde (paper) copy of an original details magazine i had kept for i guess historical purposes. besides all the funny 80's fashion and music stuff inside there were pics of all the brat pack stars hanging around at the st. elmo's fire premiere party at area nightclub.   :-o

Cool. I really like those buildings in the 7th pic from the bottom. You should take some pics of Harlem and Shaker!

Very nice...DC is one of my faves.

wow the cost of the rentals is crazy! the whole dc area is nuts w/ regard to that

Yeah, but it wont happen again..... for a long time.  It's too much work to clean up pictures and post.  I'll leave it to you kids.

The prices are crazy in the West End, but if you don't mind living a little bit farther from Georgetown, you can get much cheaper prices because it is partly geared to students.
