My #1 wish is for the Rock Hall to stay open later during the week.

...AND THE WESTSIDE MARKET - THAT IS NUMBER ONE ON MY LIST

Surprisingly the Westside Market has had the same hours for at least 70 years.  On the old photos you can see a sign that says open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.

I know, but times change.  I just think it would be better for the overall neighborhood to be open everyday.

I'm sure there is more to it and its not a simple at that.  Just my lil old two cents!

Today at lunch I took a walk up East 9th Street - at Euclid, there was a traffic cop doing his job (rather well I might add). However, this lady 1. ran the red light - not one of those "oh maybe it just changed". No - clearly RED, 2. just about ran over a pedestrian in doing so, and 3. didn't stop until she d@mn near hit said traffic cop who was flailing his hands at her. Note her southbound car is stopped in the middle of the southernmost lane.

Reason #750,006 that I fully support regular driving tests for the elderly:

I'm glad the phrase "Asshat" has made it into Mayday's Photoshop Vocabulary.

Me too. My grandma is like that. She drives like a maniac. Elderly people are known for driving slow but not my grandma; she drives like a bat out of hell. Last year in Florida she was speeding through a residential street and someone opened their door to get out of their car and she side swiped the car and the entire door came off of the other car.

Semi-yearly driving tests.

the elderly will never get the additional testing b/c THEY VOTE and have political clout. Which means they will run the country until you young people (I guess I am not anymore) start voting.

As long as IIIIIII pay their social security, they're keeping their dangerous @sses off the road. That's how I see it ;) Where could they possibly have to go? Don't they have meals on wheels?

Having lived in Florida I have a lot to say on the topic. Where do they have to go you say? well they like eating breakfast-that is usually very early. Then they head to Walmart-usually lurching out into AM rush hour traffic. Dinner time is early bird...just in time for afternoon rush hour.

I can't imagine living in Florida amongst them when Florida already has crazy driving laws. Imagine all those old people doing legal U-Turns.

Time to resurrect this thread - this week's @sshat Award goes to the folks in charge of the former warehouse north of the Avenue District townhomes. They demolished about half of the structure in order to (correct me if I'm wrong) create a parking lot. Instead, this mountain range of rubble has sat untouched for waaaaaay too long - seriously - WTflyingF?

See the Subaru? That gives you an idea of how high the rubble piles are:

^I dunno, spray some wildflower seeds on that mound of rubble and you'll have a better view than the hideous new tech warehouse the developers want to build.

Add to that list... Cleveland Public Power, who has yet to errect the new lightpoles at the 2nd set of Avenue Townhomes.  People are living there, the fact that they have to walk out into the pitch black at night is absolutely ridiculous.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!  Everybody call John Eagen at 664-3922.  Apparently he's the one in charge.

Oh, and Cimperman is looking into the lack of work at the tech center :)

Oh he is... and i think he ignores my calls now, as I call him about 5 times a week.

Speaking of the tech center, Cimperman has requested information twice now (apparently) from "building and housing".  Anybody know anyone over there?

Can't say that I do, but if you (or anyone from Zaremba) can use my photos to help get something done, by all means go right ahead! :-)

Thanks :-D
