Posted March 2, 200817 yr As one of UrbanOhio's few advocates of Ohio's mid-size cities, I've always wanted to see UrbanOhio meets held in them. Knowing that many forumers are "big city folk," I've grouped two relatively close cities (if possible) that could be combined so as to attempt to make it worth your wild. So...would you come?
March 2, 200817 yr Of course! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
March 2, 200817 yr We already had a Youngstown-Warren meet - it was the year before they reworked Federal Plaza. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram

March 2, 200817 yr yeah stryker-tontogany. unbeatable! but seriously, for nw ohio a little tour along the maumee from toledo-waterville-grand rapids would be nice for forumers in the summer. sorry ink for the off-topic. certainly i could help with a lorain-elyria tour sometime.
March 2, 200817 yr I would attend one, but would need adequate time to prepare...like maybe 2 hours in advance ;-)
March 2, 200817 yr Assuming I don't already have any prior commitments, count me in. These are easily some of my favorite cities to explore.
March 2, 200817 yr I've actually never been to Portsmouth or Ironton believe it or not. So I would be inclined to travel there for a meet.
March 2, 200817 yr I'd attend Mansfield's. I was just there today in fact :) I can just imagine all of us riding the carousel together.
March 3, 200817 yr This is looking promising then. Sometime at the end of March, maybe I'll throw out some summer dates for the top two from above. We already had a Youngstown-Warren meet - it was the year before they reworked Federal Plaza. Oh and if you're talking about you and ColDay taking photos from a hospital parking garage, that doesn't count.
March 3, 200817 yr I'd attend Mansfield's. I was just there today in fact :) I can just imagine all of us riding the carousel together. LOL LOL LOL. Unfortunately, today's visit was not so fun, it was for a funeral. And it looks like they are preparing to tear down my childhood home. Not a happy visit today, I'm glad it's over.

March 3, 200817 yr ^I'd prefer to vote for any you would attend, but I'm sure others will have a different strategy.

March 3, 200817 yr What should I go to....... What's the closest to Ann Arbor The Land of Unnecessary Prepositions ;-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
March 3, 200817 yr What should I go to....... What's the closest to Ann Arbor The Land of Unnecessary Prepositions ;-) I guess it depends on where you are at. :)
March 3, 200817 yr I'd be up for Steubenville/Wheeling and anything along the Ohio from E. Liverpool to Shadyside
March 3, 200817 yr What should I go to....... What's the closest to Ann Arbor Lima and Findlay would probably be closest.
March 3, 200817 yr ^---I'm hoping so as well. But I noticed Youngstown is getting a lot of the vote. Nothing against Youngstown and Warren, but that's a larger city (used to be just behind Dayton for many years) that I think most of us have been to more than once. I'm hoping for maybe a lesser visited city...something that most of us wouldn't visit very often? Kind of why I didn't vote for Hamilton, Middletown or Springfield since most of us have been there a hundred times...
March 3, 200817 yr You may want to add a "No" option to the question. Otherwise rename the question "What Mid-size city meets would you attend?"
March 3, 200817 yr Given the ever rising gas prices, and my ever dwindling bank account...I would have to stay close (Hamilton/Middletown). But I would be willing to make a trip up to NE Ohio as well. I could then hit up Cleveland while I am there.
March 3, 200817 yr Cincinnatus, that comment makes me absolutely furious. I don't find it funny whatsoever. But, whatever.
March 4, 200817 yr ^ Uh-Oh ... Everyone watch out! Ink ... c'mon man, you know me better than that. ;)

March 4, 200817 yr He's saying the chance to spend a little time in Cleveland justifies any expense. Seems perfectly logical to me.
March 4, 200817 yr Well he stated "have to stay close to Hamilton/Middletown", but Cleveland's totally opposite of the state and the furthest any meet would be from Cincinnati which is why I found that post rather humorous. N/M, I think this warm weather today got to me or something! :weird:
March 5, 200817 yr He's saying the chance to spend a little time in Cleveland justifies any expense. Seems perfectly logical to me. Spot on.
March 6, 200817 yr He's saying the chance to spend a little time in Cleveland justifies any expense. Seems perfectly logical to me. Spot on. Don't mind me. My sense of humor is warped....but just slightly ;-)
March 12, 200817 yr Athens actually is a damn good choice (food options, walkable, near Hocking Hills, etc). "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
March 12, 200817 yr If we do Athens, it should be in addition to the mid-size meet; it's not a city that needs attention.
