Posted March 4, 200817 yr I cannot believe this. I hope this is some sick, twisted joke... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOT05DsbrAU#
March 4, 200817 yr i didn't have the sound turned up (work), but it seems fake to me. maybe the pup was already dead?
March 4, 200817 yr Maybe so, it is getting national coverage, gonna be a big deal as either a bad joke or the desensitization of war... Sound does have some whimpering, but I agree, it could be fake...
March 4, 200817 yr Yeah, I just kinda hoped it was effects, the dog seemed a little still...but with all the press and whatnot I agree, it certainly could be real...
March 5, 200817 yr If this is real, he should be thrown off a cliff as punishment. His punishment should be as harsh or worse than Michael Vicks and animal rights groups should be up in arms!
March 5, 200817 yr Yea, not a good representation of our brave military. These guys are quite a disgrace.
March 5, 200817 yr Video was removed, so I didn't get to see it. But it is very easy to doctor up video's these days and there is a good chance this is some fake b.s. Edit: Just found the video and I'm pretty sure this is fake. There's no reason for the puppy to be yelping after being thrown. Any animal, including humans instinctively freeze up when falling, and I do not see this puppy defying the laws of nature. Also, I used to pitch baseball since 3rd grade, through high school and college. For someone to be able to throw a puppy that size that far, just by the scruff of a neck with that amount of limited arm movement without even doing some warm up tosses would be damn near impossible. My vote: Fake as he***, even though it's still disgusting that someone would even fake a video like that.
March 6, 200817 yr Even If it was fake, somebodys kid is going to be upset that some marine stole his toy puppy from him and chucked it off a cliff.
March 6, 200817 yr What's the third "*" for? Oh yeah, new word I was working on? Good catch though. Only supposed to be two! Strange I would even block out a word like "hell". It's not really considered bad in today's society.

March 7, 200817 yr Even If it was fake, somebodys kid is going to be upset that some marine stole his toy puppy from him and chucked it off a cliff. There is no way that puppy is fake .. or, at least, it's definitely not just some toy dog. It looks totally real. It's not moving, though, and that makes me question it. But how would these Marine guys fake something like this? Also, there's another video on the internet of Marines pelting a crippled dog with rocks and lighting off explosives in a flock of sheep. And those animals were definitely real. I would NOT be surprised if this was real.
March 7, 200817 yr I don't understand people like this. A long island man tried to kill his dog last summer http://www.courttv.com/news/2007/0724/maximus_ctv.html Why not just - use common sense - or what little sense you might be holding on to and take the animal to a shelter??!!
March 8, 200817 yr I don't know about that pitbull article. The only fault of the owners is that they never made sure the dog was actually dead, and they placed it in a dumpster. I think they had the right to kill the dog as it was attacking their own pet, and what else can you do? Pull it off with your bare hands? They should have completely put the enraged animal down and called the police/animal control... whatever. EDIT, this refers to the first pitbull article, not MTS's post
November 7, 200816 yr WAHOO! This bastard deserves every bit of a sentence that is coming to him. Note that animal torture and neglect is now a felony, which carries a lengthy jail or prison sentence. He formerly would have faced no more than 12 months in jail -- if even remotely close to that. Now, each cruelty count carries a 5 year term; add on a burglary charge, and he is looking at 30 years. Charge upgraded in cat killing Man accused of break-in now faces new felony law By Jim Hannah, Cincinnati Enquirer, November 7, 2008 COVINGTON - The accused killer of two housecats became the first person in Northern Kentucky - and possibly the state - to be charged under a law that now makes it a felony to torture and kill a cat or dog. Russell Swigart, 30, of Highland Heights was indicted Thursday on two counts of killing the pets. Investigators say he broke into the Lakeside Park home of his former employee, Bridgette Wright, and attacked the cats, named Piggy and Mr. Frank. He also left threatening messages for Wright, they say. Swigart was arrested the morning after the cats were found. He had a knife covered in cat hair and blood, according to court records.
November 7, 200816 yr Former mayor shoots, kills dog Staff Report Friday, November 07, 2008 SEVEN MILE — The former mayor of this Butler County village is under investigation after police said he killed a 10-pound pooch with a high-powered handgun, according to police reports. The Butler County Sheriff's office said former Seven Mile Mayor and police officer Mike Day was riding his bicycle Nov. 3 with his wife on Ritter Street while carrying a loaded .357 Magnum handgun. That's when a neighbor's dog, a 10-pound terrier mix named Precious, got loose from its cage, ran at the couple and forced Day to fall of his bicycle. Police said that at that time, Day shot at the dog five times, eventually killing it. There was no indication exactly how many times Day hit the dog. Day told police that he was a former police officer and permitted to carry an unconcealed weapon, and he showed a Butler County Sheriff's deputy his Seven Mile identification and badge. He also said he feared for his life and that it wasn't the first time Precious had attempted to attack him, according to reports.
