Around Cleveland

Part Three

Part Four

Part Five

Part Six

After leaving the flats, my friend and I went to the WHD. We then made our way around downtown looking for Sapporo Sushi (1940 E. 6Th. St.). After getting a little disoriented, I finally remembered where it was, so we went there and had the best sushi EVER! After we did that we wandered along the streets and eventually headed for Midtown (Quadrangle?), which will be in Part Four.

As I was taking the picture above, this guy posed for me and told me to take a picture. After taking the above picture, I told him to pose again and then I took a picture of him. It seems that whenever I come to Cleveland, I meet some really nice, friendly people.

Coming up... Part Four: Midtown

Geez. I always get the creepy people who stalk me, then approach me and say, "I don't want you taking photos of me." Yet my camera would be pointed in like a totally opposite direction.

Beautiful!  Great Warehouse District pics!

Ditto. I was even punched once (inside the West Side Market) by a woman who thought I had taken her picture. I hadn't. That was a long time ago.

Then there are the ones, usually bums, who think I have to pay them if they're in my photograph. Occasionally I'll get one who keeps trying to get in my shot until I have to give up on that shot until after they've gone away. Or maybe they think I'll pay them to go away. I haven't run into many of them lately, but a few years back they seemed to be everywhere in Chicago.

Andrew, this is really nice work. You're capturing both the Cleveland icons and the hidden details, and the quality is excellent.

I really like the Warehouse District.  With a few infil projects in some of those surface lots, it could be a really cool(er) place.

Nice! Bring on Part IV.

Yeah it's crazy how paranoid people are. On a trip to Vegas my stepdad was filming on his camcorder, my mom and sister in front of him while walking through NYNY and some random woman came up to my mom and said "excuse me, is this man bothering you!?" She said "Yeah, he's my husband, he's been bothering me for 4 years now!!".

LOL!  LOL

mmm... sushi

I guess I have been rather lucky with not running into any paranoid people, lol. Everyone I have met so far in Cleveland, including the homeless, have been relatively nice.

Great shots!
