... I need new music:  mostly for running but also for a full gym workout... I need some suggestions as I'm tired of listening to the same old stuff. I tend to buy stuff on itunes, not really wanting to mess my computer with the pirate programs.......

If you're more into rock/alternative/post-punk/electronica I recommend The Bravery and Mobile.  Also, I'm a sucker for Missy Elliott (she keeps the beat going) :)

Yes I love me some Missy.  sigh...memories........

yeah I agree, it's just a lot easier to download from itunes then mess around with other stuff.....

If you're looking for workout/gym music on itunes, I highly recommend you start here:

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/advancedSearchResults?albumTerm=Euro+Club+Hits+Vol+

....... if that link doesn't work, u could try this one http://tinyurl.com/2z96uw ......

or try searching itunes for "euro club hits" -- it's the one with the logo and the different colors in back .... cheers

I'd recommend Amazon instead of iTunes. High bit rates (=higher quality) and no DRM crap that prevents you from easily copying to other computers & devices other than Apple authorized ones. This may not be an issue now, but in 5-10 years when iPods may be obsolete a lot of people are going to be smacking their foreheads wishing they had portable tracks. Just my opinion. :-D

Admittedly "old school"..... but anything with a good groove and beat like:

Tower of Power

Earth, Wind & Fire

James Brown

Aretha Franklin

The Bus Boys

The Rolling Stones

I used to have the biggest crush on Toni Basil.

Vengelis. lol.
