April 7, 200817 yr Good Grief! I had no idea! That's one heck of a delightful town, and the old courthouse is a real gem. What keeps Medina so lively and prosperous-looking?
April 7, 200817 yr When I first went to Medina a few years ago, I was very impressed. It has to be one of, if not the best, maintained, functional, healthy, picturesque small downtowns in Ohio.
April 7, 200817 yr Medina is probably northern Ohio's Lebanon in the sense of intact downtown, nice shops, and etc. due to the surrounding suburban sprawl growth. Medina's downtown is fantastic though residentially it's quite bland (Lebanon actually has some nice residential). Great shots! April 16, 200817 yr [ Really enjoyed these photos! By chance do you have a picture of the fire museum? It's the red brick building with the flag. Thanks, Steve
April 20, 200817 yr Hi All, In the 60's Medina's square looked much different than it does today. The then owners added a lot of the false facades, think Euclid 9th Tower, made it look like the buildings where new construction. In the 70's the city folks decided to bring back the old look and the above pics are great examples all the work done. One of my favorite places to visit and shop is the Root Candle Co. just west of the square. If you haven't been to Medina in a while or ever, make a special trip and enjoy the city. Warm nuzzles and bear hugz. Jim S>
