I'm moving in 2.5 weeks and trying to get rid of some items that I've moved from place to place over the past few years.  A few boxes are some of my father's toy H.O. Lionel Trains & Plasticville USA buildings from when he was a child - he wants me to sell them, and I'm not much of a pack rat, so I'll oblige.

I think that they could potentially be worth something (not a ton, but something worth my time) and I don't want to go blindly into eBay (although I'm willing to go there), and if I can find an easier way (no shipping) I'll go that route.  Does anyone know of any good toy collectors in town, especially ones that may be interested in items like this?  (I don't think Big Fun would be, but it's a possibility).

Thanks, all!

KJP knows, but there's a train store in Lakewood, I think on Detroit. Don't know if he buys, but its probably a place to start.

isn't there one in coventry?

That's Big Fun, the one he mentioned in his post.

Try maybe "Parma Hobby" on Ridge Road just south of Brookpark Rd.  They may buy.  Also, I am also positive that Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights has a model train show every year.

^really? I'd love to take my son there. He LOVES trains (no, KJP is not my son). I'll set up some youtube videos of model trains and let him watch them from his high chair. Any info on how to find out about the Valley Forge shows?

Go to cleveshow.com.  They ussually have info on when their shows are.  Come to think of it, they probably have 6 or so shows a year.

I would try either of the following places - I know the one in Avon buys and sells, not sure about the one in Cleveland:

Depot Train and Hobby

4342 W. 130th Street

Cleveland, Ohio 44135

(216) 252-8880

www.depotland.com

Heritage Train and Hobby

36840 Detroit Rd. Avon, Ohio

(440) 934-1650

Thanks for the help, everyone!

There is a train place in Strongsville in the strip mall where Bally's is on Pearl Road, just south of Royalton rd/rt.82.  They are active train hobbyist type peeps as they often have trains out on the sidewalks in good weather.  http://www.strongsvillehobby.com/
