August 1, 200519 yr This one is harder. I am looking for the specific name of this place. It starts with H. Bonus if you can name the news item that happened here recently. http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.390637,-84.265394&spn=0.008665,0.011619&t=k&hl=en
August 4, 200519 yr Allright, I suppose that one was too hard. It is Hageman Junction, on the former CL&N railroad between Mason and Lebanon. If you have ever taken a trip on the Turtle Creek scenic railway, you may have passed this point. Two railroads cross here, forming an X. Two quadrants of the X have curved connecting tracks. This was the detail that I had hoped was recognizable. Route 42 crosses through the middle of all of this, and if you are driving you come to three railroad crossings with awkward spacing. A run away train car derailed here recently after travelling 5 miles down grade. Two automobiles were hit en route; one of them resulted in serious injuries. Someone else can do the next one.

August 4, 200519 yr Good one! I'll let someone else guess. There has been some more development there since the photo was taken. By the way, has anyone heard if the accident victims are okay?

August 12, 200519 yr Its a small theme park on Rt. 128 in Crosby Twnshp. Their main roller coaster, I forget what it is called, was at one time rated in the top 100 roller coasters in the country.....maybe...possibly. I am not sure if thats true, but I heard something like that once. Hopefully someone can shed insight into that. It was fun actually, I thought. Wasnt as bad as I anticipated.
August 14, 200519 yr I had no idea we had another Amusement Park in Cincinnati. This area never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for the link Wally, we will have to check it out. Seems close to Colerain, grasscat have you ever been?
August 15, 200519 yr Oh i have been to this place for my friend's dad's company picnic. It's very very small and certainly not comparable to a PKI or even Coney Island, but if you're over in that area, it might be a 2-3 hour destination you might want to check out.

August 17, 200519 yr ^ Is Hartwell nice? I have never been there. I think I a photo tour is in order. I also want to add Glendale & Wyoming to my site , two of my favorite West Side areas.
August 17, 200519 yr Yep, home sweet home Hartwell. ^ Is Hartwell nice? I have never been there. I think I a photo tour is in order. I also want to add Glendale & Wyoming to my site , two of my favorite West Side areas. Let me know when you want to do Hartwell, I'll show you around. It is a pretty decent neighborhood. Mixed middle class and lower income. Low crime.
August 17, 200519 yr Hartwell has a ton of nice Victorian homes in various states of repair. I almost always see someone fixing one up and the neighborhood looks better every time I visit. The streets are almost all tree-lined, and there's a village green in the middle with some churches. In other words, it's not polished but it's not run-down either. I'd live there. The business district sucks, though. It's a suburban-style strip. Back to the game. What's this place called: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.215281,-84.707036&spn=0.009302,0.017225&t=k&hl=en

August 22, 200519 yr Hmmm, I can't remember any photos of Loveland Castle on this site. Neat place - some guy built his dream home, then added on to it for the rest of his life. Did all the work himself, too. Speaking of castles, here's a structure that resembles one. What is it? http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.190240,-84.570951&spn=0.002172,0.002905&t=k&hl=en
August 23, 200519 yr I see that nearly every day. In fact, I just passed it about 7 hours ago. Those are the Mt. Airy water towers.
August 25, 200519 yr I can't think of any good ones. Most of these are guessed immediately. Someone else can post one if you want to.
August 25, 200519 yr Ok, here's one. In the center of the photo is a pond surrounded by a golf course. Name it. http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.266816,-84.576874&spn=0.017360,0.023402&t=k&hl=en
August 26, 200519 yr Yep. Sort of an old style pay lake. They have fishing and a par 3 golf course. Your turn.
