OK, here is the official place to vote for the bumper sticker you want to see "in stores soon"

The voting will run for 24 hours, so vote SOON!  The winning image will be off to the printer on Tuesday.

(PS - I would have posted this poll as part of the other bumper stickers thread, but I had no idea how to add a poll to an existing thread)

I like 1,3, and 9

1, 3

I still like 1...the last two are pretty damn hilarious, and I would probably buy one of each.  :-D

I picked number one.  Should probably leave the polls open a little longer than 24 hours, but it looks like you will have a clear winner regardless.

Yeah, the timing is tight, I had hoped to get these to the printer sooner, but I also wanted to have a good slate of candidates.  I was hoping that by running it at least until 8:30 tomorrow, the active folks would have the chance to check in at any of the usual times and see it (morning coffee, lunchtime, and home from work ;))

I'll put one on Cranley's locker at the gym :)

Cranley works out?  Someone needs to start a Cincinnati Gladiators show on public access.

right now number one is ahead of all other designs combined, i think we have a winner

Am I the only one that can't see #5?  It's been just a red x for me all weekend.

number five is the same as number six but has a website tag on the bottom

^Thanks.  I wonder why I can't see just that one.  Oh well...

by the way it should be pro-transit.com

^ If any of those ends up winning and has the wrong website, I can always have the designer change that text, should be easy.

Hmmm, 5 shows in one browser (Explorer) for me, and not in another (Firefox).... If I try to open it in my image editor it says there is bad data in the header.. Sorry about that, didn't even notice it until I looked on this machine.

Looks like #1 is starting to run away with it.  Of course 2, 5, 6, 7, & 8 are variations of the same design and combined are doing pretty well also.

I want #9 to put next to my  "I LOVE PRICE HILL"  sticker

Design for sticker #1 is good but the color sucks. It is too light and will be hard to see at a distance. I vote for #1 in green.

Just FYI, I am fairly confident that the color of #1 will appear darker when its actually printed.  The color was also chosen to be a strong contrast to the color of most vehicles.  Just about the only cars it will not stand out strongly against is orange or red cars...  Just some reasoning behind why its orange and not green (green was definitely considered)

I like the layout of #1 and that there is a picture of an actual streetcar on it, but I appreciate the simplicity of #6.  It seems like #6 might be a less expensive design, given that it is only orange and white, whereas #1 has white, a couple shades of orange, and multi-colored polka dots in the corner.  I hate to mess with anyone's design, but if #1 wins, would it need to be scaled back to keep costs in line?  Good work everyone, all the submissions are really solid designs, especially since they were all whipped up in a matter of days!

^ Nope, Bryan came out with a killer deal on em.  Worst case - I have to make the streetcar a bit more iconic so it doesn't have the same shading (shouldn't be hard).  That said, I don't think that will happen, Bryan has been really great about color options and is offering a great price for the printing costs.

OK, so bumper sticker 1 it is!

I will be in touch with Bryan at Decal Impressions tomorrow and I will keep everyone posted with details as I have them.

May I again suggest that you print some stickers, 4-5" in diameter, for wearing? Trust me, we'll use them over the next several years.

Can I get a window decal instead of a bumper sticker?

Bryan and Josh are very cool, be sure to check out bryans electric  truck when you go pick up the stickers.

see if you can get ********* to come up with one of those.

For the stickers for wearing, I definitely recommend orange.  It will stand out very well on most business attire.

would randy's avatar work as a better representation of a streetcar?

I tried using randy's avatar, but either due to my limited graphics skills, or due to the ease of using an existing photo and applying some effects, the one above worked better.

For those of you who may be curious as to a closer representation of what it will look like when printed, here's a full scale image of what will be printed (warning, its HUGE - otherwise, i'd image link it)

As far as lapel stickers, I will get a quote from Bryan for the cost of those.  The bumper sticker design is hard to work into a small surface area, but I am sure Palmer can work out a design that will work.  We can work that out fairly quickly I think, and yes they will be well used over several years.

just take the This blog supports cincinnati streetcar and change it to I support the cincinnati streeetcar

does the destination bar of the streetcar say anything?

it won't say anything you can see anyhow... its a portland streetcar image mirror, reversed... so any text visible would be backwards (so i obscured it)

Its this image reversed (and many effects later)

Poor application job (blame the beer) but yeah, available soon!

Lookin' good.

Lookin' good.

I hope you're not talking about the garage!

They're great. How will they be distributed?

If there's a central point, I'll put the location out to a rather large list. It would be nice to see these starting to show up soon on cars all over town. Especially, all over town, not just downtown.

Looks great. But I just thought of another bumper sticker tag line: "My next vehicle will be a streetcar"  :-D

Hohum, one question: how is it you have a renewal sticker that expires in December 2009??

"In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

Heh, I thought of blurring those, but yeah its a 2 year renewal (based on the wife's birthday)

Brad and I will be distributing these to several stores in OTR tomorrow.  I'll be following up with details of where they are available as soon as we distribute them.

You should distribute some urbanohio bumperstickers too!!!!  I'll give you some.

I'd be happy to bring a few around to the stores if I can get em from ya.  I'll be doing the rounds about noon today, so if ya wanna get me some, it'd have to be real soon ;)

If you could let me know where these will be at I will do a post on UrbanCincy about how to pick them up.  I will also be sure to mention something about the UrbanOhio bumper stickers.

So here are some pictures, on one of the first cars.

Ha, your wife just passed me on southbound 75 near 74!        Looks good!!!!......................  The sticker that is.

As soon as I hear back from Brad about the list of stores we distributed them to, I will let y'all know (he was the one keeping notes about which stores eventually got some).  We distributed to something like 7 or 8 stores I think.

OK, here is the first set of stores that have a batch of the bumper stickers:

Urban Eden

1305 Gallery on Main St.

Metronation

Mica 12v

Park +Vine

Outside

City Cellars

I may well get them out to a few more locations later in the week.

But for now, stop by your favorite locale and pick one up :)  The suggested retail price was $1, but we gave the merchants the flexibility to price them as they would like, but they should all be in the $1 to $2 range I would figure.  And when you go, remember how much the streetcar could do for those neighborhoods!

hohum - UrbanOhio, Director of Street Promotions.

That's hilarious oakiehigh.

Park + Vine is sold out. The other stores still have some.  I dropped off a big batch at the Findlay Market gift shop, but they will have to get them into their computer to sell them :). Can't hurt to stop by and ask though, and its a beaut of a day at the market!

Look for my me and my sis tomorrow during the marathon...we are planning on wearing the streetcar bumper sticker on the front of our matching tops.  Navy blue Bob Roncker's Running Spot top, black pants, and orange sticker!  You can't miss us!

I'll be watchin for ya, hopefully you won't be too dead by the time you get to McMillan or Madison (I'll be at either or to cheer on my friends, just depends on where I end up on the bike by the time the runners get there)

Man, I can't imagine running that route, more power to ya!

Ok so here is proof that we wore the bumper stickers today during the marathon.....It was fun, and I think we got a few double takes!
