I've been a middle school & high school level girl's fast-pitch softball coach for 12 years and have seen a lot of good and even a few great players....but this young lady from Montana is one heck of a story and I thought it was worth sharing.  If you know any kid who's playing sports and thinks the game gets too tough, have them read this story.

 

One-handed slugger Oberg powers over obstacles

Because she was born without a left hand, Shay Oberg has been a left-handed hitter for virtually her entire fast-pitch softball career.

 

Through Little League and high school ball, Oberg amazed opponents in her home state of Montana with her ability to control the bat with her right hand while slapping at the ball with a backhand stroke.
