Posted April 26, 200817 yr More grit for your enjoyment! These are from a bike trip through the Industrial Valley, Flats and Canal Basin Park, and Tremont. As long as I can combine my three favorite past times - cities, photography, and bicycling - I'll be posting Cleveland photos on UO often. --- Some shots off of the bluff near I-90 and Sokolowski's Old River Road Heading up to the Warehouse District Shots from Canal Basin Park Near Carter Road By way of Canal Road (I think) The Goodyear Blimp was out for Indians vs. Yankees
April 26, 200817 yr Fantastic set! The valley helps give Cleveland that big city feel, and the bridges that must cross it really add a lot.

April 27, 200817 yr Great shots. Brings back Sunday memories of Dad taking us down to watch the iron curtain RR bridges to up & down... the Canal Rd. tunnel, under the Rapid and the bowels of Tower City, has got to be one of the spookiest roads in Cleveland. The street's usually in terrible condition as well... I sure hope the density and character of these old buildings, which are outside Wolstein's footprint, can be kept and that they may thrive with spin-off development. Some time ago, someone reported the Watermark restaurant was coming back, but I've seen no evidence... would be nice.
April 28, 200817 yr Great shots! My fave due to its grittyness and urban complexity: "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
