For those of you who have never driven thru the East blvd. corridor, it is incredibly beautiful. You  have the Culture Gardens and nobel homes that have withstood the change in neighboorhood over the last 30 years. Instead of negative comments I wish i could here how this strip could branch off a bit and revitalize/gentrify. It would be wonderful to see markets and art vendors along mlk and east blvd on saturday and sundays.

My mother has lived in the neighboorhood for many years. It is the neighborhood many great Clevelanders grew up in including:" Howard Mezzenbaum, Mike White, Steve Harvey, Ruby Dee, Terrence Howard, and many more. Just a thought. Please no negative comments (unfortunately many people are intimidated to post because their ideas are not respected.)

Thanks for your post, Glenville! Welcome aboard. I bet I can guess where you're from!

How about combining this with an existing thread, such as:

Unless you were thinking of a different line of discussion, Glenville?

Glenville,

Welcome to UO! Don't worry, you are not on cleveland.com. We are a cleveland-friendly bunch.

Glenville welcome.

I don't think anyone here would thinks badly of East Blvd. or Glenville.

My grandparents live on East Blvd. and I have several relatives that live in the area.

Welcome Glenville!!

My Granny lives on E.112th and St. Clair (one street outside of the Glenville border).  Your ideas and comments will be welcome here!!

The drive up East Blvd or MLK from University Circle to the Lake is one the best Cleveland experiences there is!  Especially this time of year.  And Walk and Roll is an excellent first step to showing the area off to the whole city.
