Sadly, we no longer have even the most remote hope that you can continue to effectively serve as attorney general and that is why we are asking for your resignation.” http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2008/05/05/dann.html?sid=101

Democrats, including Gov. May 6, 200817 yr They're overreacting. As if this sort of thing isn't common in marriages that are failing. People who are most offended are probably just projecting.
May 6, 200817 yr David, are you smoking crack, again? This isn't about him having an affair, it's about his conduct with his staff in office and the result that Ohio taxpayer, YOU AND I, will have pay for the investigation and the resulting slow down in the legislative process.
May 6, 200817 yr My point is it's a dumb and irrelevant thing to focus on. They should investigate his mafia ties. I don't appreciate the smoking crack again remark, Mr. "classy".
May 6, 200817 yr I think all of the information will come out in the wash. The "affair" portion is planted to destroy is credibility. It's all a PR game now. David, you don't know what "classy" is, remember! :-D

May 6, 200817 yr Hey.... let's stop the name-calling. I can hear this easily enough from the 10-year olds in my neighborhood. We don't need it here.
May 7, 200817 yr Heard that from the 10-year-old's as well. Is even more meaningless when it comes from adults.

May 13, 200817 yr Democrats move to impeach Dann Posted by Aaron Marshall and Reginald Fields May 13, 2008 11:14AM Categories: Breaking News, Democratic Party, News Impact, Ohio Attorney General Ohio House Democrats this morning filed articles of impeachment against Democratic Attorney General Marc Dann, accusing the state's top lawyer of misconduct and malfeasance in office. The Democrats said they want to remove Dann in the wake of a sexual harassment investigation in his office that concluded earlier this month with two top managers being fired and two other employees resigning. Dann also admitted to an extramarital affair with a staff member, and admitted that he wasn't prepared for the job of attorney general when he took office in 2007. http://blog.cleveland.com/openers/2008/05/democrats_move_to_impeach_dann.html
May 13, 200817 yr In Kwame Kilpatrick's case, they obtained text messages sent by him, proving his affair. When I talked to Verizon the other day trying to obtain transcripts of my OWN text messages they said it would violate a federal law to give me that information. I wonder how it's so easy for them to obtain it. Maybe there's different stipulations about corporate email and phone accounts or maybe it's a post-9/11 PATRIOT ACT sort of thing?

If its corporate it's a whole different ball game, since the "unit" is "property" of the city (or business, state, etc.). So for a business I'm sure all that is backed up on a dedicated server administered by the city, using the Verizon services.
