Posted May 3, 200817 yr Has anyone seen it yet? I watched it last night and was pretty impressed. The new Batman movie doesn't look half bad either.
May 3, 200817 yr Iron Man was my favorite comic book when I was a kid. I was very pleased with the film adaptation. Downey Jr. owns that role.

May 3, 200817 yr Speed Racer I hear is going to be terrible. Iron Man received 94% on Rottentomatoes which is damn good for a comic book movie. I'm seeing it tonight. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
May 4, 200817 yr Speed Racer I hear is going to be terrible. Iron Man received 94% on Rottentomatoes which is damn good for a comic book movie. I'm seeing it tonight. Lies! Well, you can see Sex and The City!

May 4, 200817 yr Different character. The Black Sabbath Iron Man is some sort of social outcast who is "turned to steel, in a great magnetic field", and then saves and subsequently destroys mankind. As a Sabbath fan, that song has been stuck in my head, what with all the hoopla about the movie.
May 4, 200817 yr Speed Racer looks a little corny to me. Hey....Hey....Hey......watch that bub! No 'dissin' SR!
May 6, 200817 yr The trailers make this film look like sh!t, but the reviews this is getting is awesome ... we're seeing it this Friday.
May 6, 200817 yr I'm just upset Katie Holmes didn't want to be in it. I just threw up in mouth a lil bit. Trust me, you're in the small minority.
May 6, 200817 yr I'm going to try and see it this week. I don't get let out of the cage much, but I'm hoping the warden gives me time off for good behavior for this one. I grew up watching Speed Racer on a UHF station back on Staten Island. And it was one of my favorite cartoons. That said, the movie trailers I have seen so far make it look just awful.
May 6, 200817 yr Absolutely recommend seeing Iron Man *in the theater*. And stick around until the credits are over ;-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
May 6, 200817 yr What happens when the credits are over?? Here's a hint: Not Bears on a Boat but... "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

May 7, 200817 yr My wife and I saw Iron Man over the weekend. She enjoyed it, and she is not inclined to enjoy comic books or science fiction. I thought it was great, not corny, and the humor was well-placed.

May 7, 200817 yr I think I am going to see this as well. Generally, the Marvel heroes have more interesting stories, and I have always liked them better as the main characters struggle with their personal demons. I guess they are a little darker - the one exception being Batman as he easily could have been a Marvel character even though he lives in a fictional city. Speaking of Katie Holmes, she has done some good work in movies like Abandon and the indy movie Pieces of April. Unfortunately, I cannot take her seriously since she has been "transformed" into the new Katie and allowed herself to be cut off from all of her old friends. Her marriage with Tom Cruise just seems strange and creepy, and based on her last movie the future prospects are not good. Interestingly, Tom was originally supposed to be the lead in Iron Man, but Robert Downey Jr was a nice, somewhat surprising choice.
May 7, 200817 yr Well, you don't like good movies so that makes sense. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
May 7, 200817 yr Well, you don't like good movies so that makes sense. Really? You both are fans of Doris Day; I figured you two would have similar taste in movies.
May 7, 200817 yr Christ, someone give Jennifer Garner a sandwich! Wha??? How dare you. Best outfit in a comic book movie ever.
May 7, 200817 yr What happens when the credits are over?? Here's a hint: Not Bears on a Boat but... I heard about that. Hope it leads to movie about the group. I have been waiting for my friend Cap America to get his own movie. Heard its in the works. Its a tricky one though w/ all the steroids stuff these days.
May 7, 200817 yr Christ, someone give Jennifer Garner a sandwich! Wha??? How dare you. Best outfit in a comic book movie ever. seriously, the only reason to watch that movie is to see her prancing about in that outfit. She should be required to wear that get-up in every movie she's in, regardless of what the role is.

May 9, 200817 yr I think shes hot, she just needs a little more meat on her bones. If she eats a few Chipotle burritos she'll be alright.
May 9, 200817 yr Hell no. I'm a critic of anything and everything, even though I have no right to be.
May 15, 200817 yr http://daytonpundit.com/site/?p=315 I…Saw…’Iron Man’! Published by DP Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) forges a new conscience while being held captive in Afghanistan With the weather being gloomy, my significant other (and mother of our two children) asked if we could go to the movies in honor of her ’special’ day today. Since she usually favors ‘chick flicks’ or other such fare, all eyes were ready to go into ‘roll’ mode until she said she’d like to see ‘Iron Man’. Not wanting her to change her mind, I readily agreed and we took to our local movieplex for an afternoon matinée. I will be mentioning details of the movie here so if you haven’t seen the film and don’t want me to ruin the story, do not proceed any further. (continue reading at the link provided above--DP)
