October 29, 200816 yr [*]I'm using the new "blacknblack" theme. However the "black rain" them doesn't work [*]The "quick reply" box (which I should never use) has a problem. As you're typing the text runs off the right side of the box, never to be seen. [*]For some reason the format of the replies does not line up. There is a huge amount of space between the space where the date/time/post number and the actual post itself. Other than that, I'm not having any issues. Note: bullet points are now much easier to use!!
October 29, 200816 yr I don't know if it is intentional or not, but the UrbanOhio logo in the upper left (while viewing forum threads) is no longer a link back to the main page.
October 29, 200816 yr There are some issues with safari, such as white buttons at the end of the menu bars. But that's really it. Hey, nevermind you must have just fixed it haha.
October 29, 200816 yr Let me know what theme you are using and what browswer you use so I can look into the issues.

October 29, 200816 yr I see the huge space issue MTS. I'm going to have to un-install that theme and try to re-install it or a similar one.
October 29, 200816 yr That's sucky. I use the same theme, but for Firefox. There were also bullets under the profile name for every item. (stars, status, posts, etc.)
October 29, 200816 yr OK. I like it Ok the updated back in black theme is up and I switched you to it.
October 29, 200816 yr I guest noticed that, near the bottom of the page, the site navigation is missing. It's this stuff: UrbanOhio.com > General Discussions > Forum Issues/Site Input > Topic: Forum Updated It's at the top of the page, but not at the bottom. I realize it's a small thing, but having it at the bottom too (since we all read from top to bottom in this country)makes the site easier to use than having to scroll back up to the top to negotiate the site. Thats my only complaint so far too. I'll look into it.
October 29, 200816 yr i'm still seeing a large amount of open space. it seems at though the post by people with avatars are the post which are the most affected.

Yeah, I would like to see that fixed as well. Although I have my account set for the newest posts at the top of the page. So I guess I'm un-American or something.
October 29, 200816 yr I also noticed the 'print' button at the top right of each thread, and the 'link to calendar' at the bottom left of each thread are having some graphic problems.
October 29, 200816 yr I also noticed the 'print' button at the top right of each thread, and the 'link to calendar' at the bottom left of each thread are having some graphic problems. Looks okay to me.

I attempted to fix this issue, but was unable to do so. It should be corrected with the next release.

October 29, 200816 yr I also am seeing the text run off the screen when I do a quick reply, FWIW. What theme and browser are you using?
October 30, 200816 yr It looks as though on the default theme that the urbanohio.com ad block is a different class than the posts (read not windowbg or windowbg2). It also looks as though the div that separates posts is missing for the last real post and the urbanohio.com ad. (See attachment if you can't see that). This issue is experienced with Firefox 3, latest version. Edit: Also, it appears as though attachment thumbnails isn't turned on. Sorry! Edit Edit: The Edit Calendar Button at the bottom of that photo is screwed up. Oh, Betas are fun!
October 30, 200816 yr I also am seeing the text run off the screen when I do a quick reply, FWIW. What theme and browser are you using? I'm using IE version 6 and the Forum/Board default. And thanks for all the hard work you put into this. It really is appreciated. This board has become invaluable to me for keeping abreast of the many projects going on in the city.
October 30, 200816 yr And thanks for all the hard work you put into this. It really is appreciated. This board has become invaluable to me for keeping abreast of the many projects going on in the city. You are very welcome. I do it for all of you.
October 31, 200816 yr The same huge spacing issue and quick reply rolling is happening with IE 6, so I'll look into that too.
October 31, 200816 yr I use firefox - the only issue I'm having is that the advertisement on the top of the page is a little off to the right from where it should be. Just an aesthetic issue. Would also be nice if Ads by Google were a little lower from the tab bar but I'm guessing that's intentional so you'll click.
October 31, 200816 yr For all using IE 6... UPGRADE lol. It's likely the worst version of IE EVER! I know though that you are probably at work and can't help it. I have Safari (on Mac) and noticed some issues. I'm using the blacknblack (or whatever) skin. The print icon on the lower left and upper left don't have the proper border. The same thing happens in Firefox on PC or Mac.

The same thing happens in Firefox on PC or Mac. this is a test to see what happens when I try to reply to a question that RichNCincy posted earlier in the thread Edit: looks like when I hit quick reply, the text rolls off the screen as I'm typing. However, when I hit preview, the formatting is correct and the text wraps to the next line. Spacing issue appears to have been resolved.
October 31, 200816 yr I am still having to do a hard return or my words run off the page into la-la land. I am using IE 6 (and can't upgrade, we aren't allowed to do that here at work).
October 31, 200816 yr Don't worry, I have IE6 and I'm having the same issues (and I can't upgrade either). So we're working on that! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 31, 200816 yr It looks like the spacing issues are fixed. Now we just need to get the quick reply box working and everything should be working fine.
October 31, 200816 yr What just happened? :wtf: The system went off line? Was that a result of the upgrade? Now the huge space between your post and the heading is back. I'm using IE V. 6

October 31, 200816 yr Everything should be working properly now, except for the quick reply issue. Can someone let me know if it's still happening?
November 1, 200816 yr Rich, 2 things ... Thanks for the RSS feeds. The only problem I see is the feeds are really sporadic? The other thing is, the shortcuts at the bottom of threads are missing. Not in this one, but the others?
November 1, 200816 yr The RSS feeds show the latest posts unless you select a specific thread or section
November 1, 200816 yr Rich, thanks for putting back the navigational tools at the bottom of the forum threads. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
November 1, 200816 yr Rich, thanks for putting back the navigational tools at the bottom of the forum threads. Your welcome!
November 3, 200816 yr I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but when I copy and paste an article as a post or reply, often i have to (first) post my reply, then modify so that I can edit and format.
November 3, 200816 yr I've had issues with copy/paste ever since the switch was made to wysiwyg format. So now I just paste to clipboard first which removes all the formatting from the source and then do my own.
August 19, 201014 yr Added APC caching to the forum. Let me know if anyone has any issues or notices an improvement.
September 20, 201014 yr Has something changed, whereing "signatures" no longer exist? I did remove signatures, but it was suppose to be for only new memebers. We've had too many new spam accounts signing up adding spam links in their signatures.
September 20, 201014 yr Hey Rich - Is the server updating in the afternoon now? My morning access difficulties have now turned into afternoon access difficulties from Case.... Every day, without fail.
