Leominster (pronounced "Lemon-ster") is the long-time high school football rivals of Fitchburg starting in 1894 (Fitchburg is still in the lead, take that Leominsterers!). It's the birthplace of Johnny Appleseed (there was no trace of the marker on the map) and where you can squarely place the blame for those awful plastic pink flamingos. Must be that dash of grit that gives it that certain charm. The population is about 41,000, but the Downtown is much smaller than Fitchburg's which has roughly the same population. Leominster's Downtown is centered in the convergence of numerous roads instead of one long stretch like Fitchburg. Fun fact, inkaelin could not photograph the county seat of Worcester County today even if he tried: there is no county seat anymore. The sun was not my friend on this day, so I did touch up some pics and I forgot to backtrack and get a couple more shots of Main St, but you'll get the idea.

Lancaster is the birthplace, as we all know, of Luther Burbank. Lesser known is that it is home to the largest 7th Day Adventist community in Massachusetts (just for the record I know how to spell it, due to my mother's New England roots) which is probably centered around Atlantic Union College, which is also 7th Day Adventist. The population hovers around 7,300. Here are a few shots of the college.

The town square consists of a collection of civic buildings. There is no Downtown and the local I asked said there are a couple of restaurants along the way and further down Main you have a McDonalds and Taco Bell in Clinton.

Beautiful. On the color vs. black & white, I think I like the color version better. The composition is good either way, but to me the color makes it stand out. You might want to play with just a tad more contrast on the b&w, and see what happens.

That probably wasn't a tad, but I like it. Spring is always a great time for pics. Well, when it's sunny.
