And how is the garage ventilated?

No need, it’ll all be electric cars in there before too long anyway.

I'd be upset too if I lost my taxpayer owned (NEORSD) parking lot across the street! lol

or if they shut down the road leading from w25

Really not a big deal anymore now that the center street bridge has been open. Anyone going to hopples from the north part of W25th should be a similar time still

Regional sewer fees/rents are not taxes.

Gahhh all these multi million dollar public works projects that are increasing my property value ten fold and attracting more people to my bar! Damn them!

It's hard to imagine being as nearsighted as Hooples.   A couple years from now they will be rolling in new business.

Right? Though I seem to remember the Sainatos pizza guy was also pretty angry about the park going in. I suppose they just wanted to preserve the forlorn and ghostly character of the area haha.

I think it’s a cumulative thing what with the bridge being closed for, like, ever.

there's no doubt all this road work and bridge construction is affecting their business. I agree it's for the greater good, but a restaurant doesnt need to lose that much business to be on the wrong side of the profit margin.

also, things like the redline/greenway-while nice amenities- are not profit drivers. they're not heavily utilized and are not creating much, if any business.

I sometimes forget people aren't involved in recent development news like I am lol. Hell when SHW was already halfway to topping out I still came across some friends that asked what it is or didn't even know Sherwin was building something.

Who are these people?  Are they allowed to vote?😉

Great pic @GISguy to show the tremendous impact of the development on the Scranton Peninsula. Makes a big difference!  Cleveland's riverfront is starting to really come alive!

I know there were a lot of feelings about the design of this project but the scale is truly impressive. If you have not seen it in person it's worth a look - it really is going to rapidly transform this area.

It's hard to overstate how dramatically different this area looks from the other side of the river.

Judging by the Instagram comments you'd think this was a government funded amazon warehouse

Does anyone know if they'll be apartments that will wrap around that parking garage? I haven't seen the original plan.

News-wise, that's as great a photo as it is artistically. It wouldn't have worked at night or on a bright sunny day.

At risk of repeating the overstated, these have to be the most important residential projects in the city atm, imo. I hate to imagine what would've happened if they weren't started when they were...

I just drove by today after not seeing it in a long while and it's all very impressive. The finishes on the inland (NRP?) site in particular are admirable (I still remember when we all blasted the original concepts lol)

You think so? I was just there a couple days ago and thought it somehow looked worse than I was expecting, and I my expectations were already low. But I get this is so subjective.

It's all subjective, but I think they're just fine.

Besides, Bridgeworks would like a word.... lol

Looks fine to me. Pretty inline with urban infill seen all over the country these days.

The roof still baffles me. It's like they couldn't decide if they want a residential house style slanted roof or an urban style flat roof so they went with both? It just changes halfway through and it looks incomplete. I think if it was totally flat it would look better.

I took the roof design as a more industrial look from the mills in the valley, more than residential.

^Awesome- thanks for the visual. The roofs make total sense in this regard.

I don’t know if that was their intention, just how I interpreted it 🤷🏻‍♂️

^ that was a very clever catch! yeah i dk if they intended it, but i sure like it and the thought of it, so let’s go with it.

what’s the old saying? print the legend. 😂👍🏽

It looks cheap. Sadly these boards approve this architecture, so it becomes acceptable.

that's funny, my wife and I would have never found them without being able to easily walk the towpath to them from our place in tremont.

^Oh, the number of new apartment buildings and townhomes in Mayday's photo we could circle that didn't exist five years ago... 😍

i would never have imagined this — what an amazingly scenic site for a new neighborhood. with so obviously much more to come.

I just realized they placed the garage of a riverfront development, on the riverfront. No space for a boardwalk or anything.
