Posted May 28, 200817 yr http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/showbiz/2008/05/28/sbt.hogan.tapes.cnn Near the end of that video which is about 9 minutes long. The mom, Linda Hogan says things about the other mom like "I'm suffering more than she is".
May 28, 200817 yr I saw that clip right before I watched Sharon Stone talk about how the earthquake in China was "karma". Using that same logic, the 9/11 attack would be considered "karma" and her dumb @ss would be blackballed in Hollywood for saying such a thing. Celebrities are stupid as sh!t but man they're entertaining.
May 28, 200817 yr I like the part where the son asks his dad to pursue a "Real-ality" show for him when he gets out.
May 29, 200817 yr I just noticed the google banner ad at the bottom of the page is for Brook Hogan ringtones. So as we lament her families lack of moral compass, we can quickly link to and buy a ringtone to remind us of her and her screwball family. Internet marketing freaks me out sometimes.
May 29, 200817 yr I don't know what's more sickening, the Hogan's actions, the fact that TMZ somehow got a hold of what should have been a private conversation between parent and a juvenile child, or CNN's disgusting, sanctimonious 9 minutes of "coverage". "how dare she..". Indeed. This just in, celebrities and their kids, can sometimes be shmucks. Ashley Banfield, you've come a long way, baby. Everything about this makes me ill. I'm gonna go watch me some Spongebob Squarepants.
May 29, 200817 yr It wasn't a private conversation if it occurred in a prison. Unless the Hogans were rendered to a black ops prison in a country where torture is legal. Now there's a real-ality show I'd watch.
May 29, 200817 yr This is just TV about TV. But I've already been ridiculed by people on this site for announcing I don't watch TV, which just further proved what a menace TV is.
May 29, 200817 yr If you don't watch TV, then the bad guys win. I know it's not technically 'private'. I also get that he's a punk kid, and there is a certain 'come-uppance' to be had by publicly airing a conversation that shows the Hogans to be pretty selfish and unsympathetic. But I have a hard time advocating for the side of TMZ who is at least as sleazy by playing the conversation as the Hogans are for trying to capitalize on the situation. I can't believe getting the tapes was as easy as saying "Hello warden, could we please have all 26 hours of the Hogan family prison phone calls". "Why surely you may, for I cannot believe that you would use these tapes for anything but the most honorable and altruistic of intents." Somebody in the penal system has a few more bucks in their wallet than they had before these tapes were put on the air.

I'm gonna go watch me some Spongebob Squarepants. Hold your horses. TMZ and CNN are correct in their reporting. The information was obtained is public record. They did nothing wrong but report was was said. The family, their lawyers, etc. all knew this! But I have a hard time advocating for the side of TMZ who is at least as sleazy by playing the conversation as the Hogans are for trying to capitalize on the situation. Somebody in the penal system has a few more bucks in their wallet than they had before these tapes were put on the air. I resent that. Unless you can PROVE BEYOND a reasonable doubt, that the information obtain was done so inappropriately, then you're way off base. It's Hollywood. These "celebrities" know we're watching and our viewers are watching, listening, photographing their every move. In this day and age, if you act out in public, its going to be taped/recorded and seen somewhere.
May 29, 200817 yr Meh! I recant nothing! Well, I'll take back my Ashley Banfield / Virginia Slims statement. To her credit I think she tried to put a little perspective to the on air smug-fest the other two heads were having.
