May 31, 200817 yr I always dug the vibe of Austin (almost ironically anti-Texas) but I never cared for the city. Nice shots though! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
June 1, 200817 yr Good stuff! A lot different flavor from many of the Austin photos we see on the forums.
June 2, 200817 yr Nice! I love how Austin really has that liberal vibe, yet still is very much a Texan city. UT really adds a lot to the town in this regard, I'm guessing. One thing I do like a lot about Texas is that each of the cities have very different feelings to them, and all have different attractions. San Antonio with the Riverwalk, Alamo, and the Mercado feels very Mexican, Austin's got the hippy vibe, Dallas is pretty down to business and big city, and Houston...well it's Houston.
June 3, 200817 yr The new stuff on South Congress reminds me a lot of the new stuff in Midtown Atlanta. Fun/cool vibe, but not exactly my idea of urbanism.
