Made a quick stop at Mill Creek Falls this afternoon...

Mill Creek Falls, which drops 48 feet, is the largest waterfall in Cuyahoga County.

The Slavic Village Historical Society is housed in the historic Brilla House overlooking Mill Creek Falls in Old Newburgh, in Cleveland, Ohio.  It is operated by the Mill Creek Falls History Center and welcomed its first guests the weekend of October 12th-13th, 2002.

For orientation purposes, Broadway is the road running vertically through the picture, with Harvard Avenue running diagonally to the top left corner, and the Warner Road bridge in the foreground.

For you rail fans out there, the CSX tracks run just upstream from the falls

Beautifu.  Where exactly is this?  I can't believe I don't know where this is.

It's in the area where Broadway, Miles, Warner, and Turney Roads all come together - very confusing conglomeration of roads... the way I know to get there is to take Broadway south from Slavic Village then at the cluster intersection follow the sign for Warner Road, and then just after crossing the bridge there is a traffic light - take a sharp right on the little road and it will lead you to the history center/falls.  (There are signs to help)  The address for the History Center is 8404 Webb Terrace, which doesn't show on Mapquest.

Wow! I never knew about that. It looks like a fascinating place.

Never knew about it either! Fantastic!

A total hidden gem, that many natives, self included, don't know about or those that do know take for granted.

That's a great set.  I was down there last in '04, and there were all sorts of tires, refrigerators, and other junk in the creek.  Looks like everything is being maintained pretty well.

Nice little place!
